      Current state of vpsBoard   02/04/2017

      Dear vpsBoard members and guests:

Over the last year or two vpsBoard activity and traffic has dwindled. I have had a change of career and interests, and as such am no longer an active member of the web hosting industry.

Due to time constraints and new interests I no longer wish to continue to maintain vpsBoard. The web site will remain only as an archive to preserve and showcase some of the great material, guides, and industry news that has been generated by members, some of which I remain in contact to this very day and now regard as personal friends.

I want to thank all of our members who helped make vpsBoard the fastest growing industry forum. In it's prime it was an active and ripe source of activity, news, guides and just general off-topic banter and fun.

I wish all members and guests the very best, whether it be with your business or your personal projects.

  1. I'm keeping an eye out on John Mcafee - https://mcafee2016.com/ Definitely president material but too bad, he speaks too much sanity. USA only wants an insane president.
  2. The cesspit / chat thread.

Red Hat released a music video a few weeks back... The best place with the shadowman face? Pretty funny and cool.
  3. take a look at Cloud Router Switch, quite affordable: 10 SPF and 1SPF+ - http://routerboard.com/CRS212-1G-10S-1SplusIN 2 SPF+ and tons of gigabit http://routerboard.com/CRS226-24G-2SplusRM Other than that, you might also wanna take a look at Cloud Core Routers, which are slightly more ex. Play around with their search filters and see what fits your budget.
  4. 100,000

    Nice! And also, congrats!
  5. Privacy issues aside, Ubuntu founder is also not very directly - keep giving very long answers to questions regarding features, which in the end doesn't really answer the question well. (Answers are typically like "maybe" instead of just direct yes/no) I find this quite annoying. Not through a direct experience but was told this by someone who had long years working at Red Hat. Of course, there might be some bias-ness.
  6. Check your DNS records. You should never have more than 1 TXT records. Also, could you show us what you have entered?
  7. The cesspit / chat thread.

Wow, such threat. REPORTED to local authorities. prepare to see my lawyer!!!!1111

  9. IPv4 address providers

He used to run Avante, etc. But now he only rents out IP addresses.
  10. IPv4 address providers

Hello, ChrisK rents out ARIN IPv4 addresses. Can probably get you in touch with him.
  11. I avoid using Ubuntu due to the privacy issues they had. You might wanna take a look at running Fedora on ARM. There's also a Fedora Remix named Pidora which runs pretty well on Raspberry Pi. There are plenty of things to explore with ARMs. Proves that things can run without LEGs; as long as they got ARMs. ;)
  12. ARM has legs. Real world use.

holyleefuk. PLEDGED for one pine64+. ships in March
  13. When should you use SSL?

Any place that has login/registration or personal info. Sadly, LowEndTalk doesn't give 2cents/shits about TLS. Meh, they're not the only ones doing this...
  14. Free IPv6 BGP Tunnel

Did u even read the title?
