      Current state of vpsBoard   02/04/2017

      Dear vpsBoard members and guests:

Over the last year or two vpsBoard activity and traffic has dwindled. I have had a change of career and interests, and as such am no longer an active member of the web hosting industry.

Due to time constraints and new interests I no longer wish to continue to maintain vpsBoard. The web site will remain only as an archive to preserve and showcase some of the great material, guides, and industry news that has been generated by members, some of which I remain in contact to this very day and now regard as personal friends.

I want to thank all of our members who helped make vpsBoard the fastest growing industry forum. In it's prime it was an active and ripe source of activity, news, guides and just general off-topic banter and fun.

I wish all members and guests the very best, whether it be with your business or your personal projects.

  1. Domain name like every company. It is only good for seo, but nothing else, hard to remember.
  2. vpsBoard - Future Discussion

There are very less people and not much new topic where people can discuss about everything. I very like to join this forum, but it is too quie.
  3. Need a Clear Guideline about managing a VPS

There are many sources where you can learn. I recommend to order a cheap VPS server with automatic re-installations and try to install and run scripts. Like install any free panel, after configure this panel. You can also try to look to youtube videos, there are lot's of information.
  4. Do web host really use SSD drives?

SSD drives becomes cheaper and cheaper every month. It is very easy to build a 5 - 10TB SSD storage in any RAID level... but there nothing unlimited...
  5. What happens when there are no more ipv4 addresses left?

IPv6 usage grows every year. In 2020 it will be around 50% of IPv6 usage and IPv4 IP addresses will be worthless.
  6. Good & Cheap DDOS Protected Windows VPS

Good and cheap? it is compatible?
  7. Do web host really use SSD drives?

It is pretty easy to make high storage with SSD drives. I saw offer with 24 x 500 and 24 x 1TB SSD. There nothing unlimited, because they will definitely kick you out of any reason if you overuse an "unlimited" disk space.
  8. How many hosting accounts do you have?

2 accounts as as individual for my own mails and websites.
  9. Dedicated Servers vs. VPS (for beginners)

VPS can be also good, but depends on providers policy, overselling and limitations. very often it is better to choose high end VPS than a low end dedicated server.
  10. Half-yearly / Yearly KVM offers

Just include your budget and we will recommend you a provider with their prices.
  11. looking for 10 vps with residential ips

This is a price you should pay. it is very hard to offer servers with residental IP's. If everyone be able to do it, the price might be like regular VPS.
