EIG is dumb enoughto buy it. It would fit the EIG MO, too -- DO lies about it being a "cloud". It's not. EIG lies all the time.

It's very possible to write a plugin that only counts posts with X characters to count at all, for the newbie user group. You can also code it directly into core (and that would be easier). I've never done it, but considered it myself years ago on a vB site.

I mostly use premium hosts like LiquidWeb, EuroVPS, etc. But this place is all about budget hosts. And when it comes to quality hosting for pennies on the dollar, nobody beats BuyVM. BuyVM - 5 Not just that, but Adrylic and Francisco are some of the nicest hosting owners I've ever come across...

Which is better and why? # ioping . -c 10 # ioping . -c 25 I prefer the sustained test of 25. I think the 10 is too brief to be accurate. But is ioping possibly causing it to be slower (less accurate tests) beyond 10? Opinions? Aside: I do think it's good to use both it and dd together...

Now that the LEB/LET dirty laundy has aired, I support this site even more. :) It's no WHT, but it can and should displace LET given time. Most of that was noise anyway. This board has class and doesn't (yet?) attract the riff-raff, kiddies, and outright scammers. I quit going to LEB/LET...

I don't think some folks know what all is inolved with a quality review of a host. In my opinion, it should take at least a year of constant monitoring, and with running production sites. Or at very least, dev sites. (Sometimes dev sites are more stressful than active sites. No caching, etc.)...

I send them for spam, but rarely hear back. Same for WHMCS license check.

EuroVPS has some high-end plans in Amsterdam. If you don't see what you want on the sales pages, ask. (Submit sales ticket.) I've used them for 7+ years now.
