Looking to transfer something of off Digital Ocean to something cheaper. Specs are in the title:

- 64MB Ram is minimum, all above is nice

- +- 5 GB of disk space, SSD not required

- 1 IPv4

- Location: EU

- OpenVZ, but KVM is welcome as well.

Website is a static HTML project to teach people to lock their workstation: http://ponify.nl

Looking to transfer something of off Digital Ocean to something cheaper. Specs are in the title:

FirstHeberg has an openvz that is much cheaper than Digital Ocean but the RAM is above 128MB. (1.49 euros, 512MB RAM, and 20GB HA NFS over Ethernet storage).  Located in their DC in Valenciennes, France.

http://www.firstheberg.com/virtual-private-server (512/768 MB RAM plans are OVZ, 1GB and above plans are KVM).

Bandwagon Host has a 128MB $5.99 annual plan (check the offers section :p ) but their NL location is currently sold out. (edited to add, my "128MB" plan is actually 148MB)

128MB is getting harder to find in the EU because of IP prices so I'll throw in these larger plans from ProviderService (probably the most reliable openvz provider I've ever used) and their new Xen brand UltraVPS.  Both are in Dusseldorf.  Payment term is 6 months on both.

ProviderService openvz: 256MB openvz , 1.90 euros VAT incl (1.60 VAT excluded): http://www.providerservice.com/root-vps/

UltraVPS Xen 512MB, 2 euros VAT incl (1.68 VAT incl)

< $5/m, preferably <$20/y

Wouldn't github.io be a better choice for something you're asking people to wget | bash?
nope. I hate that shit. github could pull the plug at any time...

Bandwagonhost, DotVPS, Iniz and OnepoundWebhosting are currently sold out.

But Lowendspirit and Ramnode are still available.
Lowendspirit would be a good one. Never had something with RAMNode...

It's not that it cannot have moer than 128MB, however, the current 612MB vps is using at max 30MB of ram, so more would be a waste. However, I do like the ocasionall apt-get upgrade without OOM errors, therefore 32MB would be a bit bare...

I'm not sure how soon you are looking to switch, but we will have some KVM servers available in Maidenhead (Rapidswitch) towards the end of the month.  We can offer you a system with 256MB Ram, 10GB Disk, 250GB Bandwidth and IPv4/6 for $4 a month.

If you were interested in helping test out HostGuard (), we will be offering testers a discount on any future service.
