Nginx and php5-fpm performance tips?

I have a stock configuration Linux, Nginx, MySQL and php5-fpm setup that I setup following a guide but it didn't go into the details of making it work for the best performance. Does anyone have any good and modern performance tips they want to share? Performance is fine right now but its on a demo (local) server but I may use the configuration for a wordpress site with lots of photos.

You aren't giving us much information to go on.  What have you done, what are the server specs, how is the server configured and what are your current bottlenecks?
