Hello,

im having Centos 6.6 and 2.6.32 kernel

2 HDDs in HW raid 1.

/dev/mapper/vg-root     /                       ext4    discard,noatime 1 1

And there is an journaling process: [jbd2/dm-0-8] which has like 50% I/O usage for more than hour.

I have a few OpenVZ virtual servers. What are ideal settings for the filesystem? Can i tweak any related setting without rebooting server please?

Someone mentioned here that when "commit" is not set in fstab, then journal process is writting very frequently.
