      Current state of vpsBoard   02/04/2017

      Dear vpsBoard members and guests:

Over the last year or two vpsBoard activity and traffic has dwindled. I have had a change of career and interests, and as such am no longer an active member of the web hosting industry.

Due to time constraints and new interests I no longer wish to continue to maintain vpsBoard. The web site will remain only as an archive to preserve and showcase some of the great material, guides, and industry news that has been generated by members, some of which I remain in contact to this very day and now regard as personal friends.

I want to thank all of our members who helped make vpsBoard the fastest growing industry forum. In it's prime it was an active and ripe source of activity, news, guides and just general off-topic banter and fun.

I wish all members and guests the very best, whether it be with your business or your personal projects.

      -MannDude

It's amazing that a "company" can invent a shatterproof tablet and yet has difficulty correctly filling out the contact info on their WHOIS.

Do you really expect anyone to pay $99 to preorder something from a site with fake info?

Will FINO be able to attract customers with this new Shatterproof tablet?

Spamming forums and using fake contact info aren't a good customer acquisition strategy.

Hii everyone.

Good to see you here, just wanted to assure you people that this is not a fake tablet . We are coming soon on IndieGoGo. Besides this, I wanted to make you people familiar about the tab , this is the first shatterproof tablet you might not have met ever. This $99 is the special offer for first 500 subscribers. The actual price is not $99. You can check for shatterproof tablets and will find this the best one with the price affordability and specified features. Check our releases at  <LINK REMOVED - HEP>

Some co-workers and I were talking about this tablet just now, I showed them this spam and their fake company information so they just lost at least half a dozen sales from this thread (and these are co-workers that spend way too much on tablets). Their marketing team should be so proud.

Today I finally did a glass front break on an older Samsung tablet I've long used.  Just lucky shot of tablet onto cement floor.

My fault since the tablet wasn't in a protective case, again.  Not the first time I've dropped a device hard on ground.

Looking for group input on cases they use to protect and make their tablets more useful - regardless of which tablet you have.

Seeing soooooooooooooo many import pieces of junk that finding a good case with features (rotation ability, stand up for bedside or desktop working, card holders, maybe a smartphone holder, etc.).

Anyone using an interesting case out there worth considering?

My kick about beater Droid phone committed suicide the other day.  Purely for wifi use...  Leaving me contemplating moving over to a more modern Android tablet instead.

Looking for recommendations for Android tablets that use 4.x OS, have bluetooth, have wifi (they all do I think) and comes rooted (tired of fussing with stuff).  Looking for something "cheap" / "affordable".  Should support bluetooth tethering of keyboard/mouse/etc. when/if I need it.  Heck, keyboard is welcomed already.

Someone have something that fits the bill?   Need not be some sexy popular beast with 4 cores and a fancy manufacturer.  Prefer cheap since these get used as beaters, dropped, splashed, etc.

Like many folks these days, I am wandering around with a stack of devices.   When I have to debug a broken server/computer I end up toting a tablet and smartphone.

Now, often I have notes or some research on the tablet or phone and rather than bastard type the commands and deal with that slowness.

A nice  copy and paste  means from the tablet directly to the PC is what I am looking for?  Someone using something like this for similar reason on Android devices?
