I have tried 2 of those big 3. Namely Rackspace and Amazon and the performance was quite simply atrocious. Serious clients look beyond the brand name and go for another solution that leaves these guys in the dust in many different ways.

Social networking + reputation + good ole pavement pounding in areas where you actually have servers housed. I have canvased most of Montreal with doorhangers, flyers, handed out cards and it the results have been surprisingly pleasant. Sometimes old-school wins :)
