    $10k is plenty to start VPS business. Start with 1 or 2 high quality servers and some good network equipment, and then license the software that you need....

    I don't think there is such a thing as 100% DDOS protected.. DDOS filtering requires a big investment in $ and in the end, it all depends on how big the attack is and how long it lasts.
