Need good hosting for running wordpress in US

@Brothman Funny how about all you post about is "hosting source"... Let's hear a little more about what makes them such a great fit.

    Not quite spam comments

@Aldryic C'boas Definitely the case. There is always a shortage of new or unanswered threads. In a way, it is a good thing, since it shows that the community loves to answer questions and engage in conversation, but in another way, it is bad, since new members often prefer to answer fresh threads.

    Not quite spam comments

@Aldryic C'boas They may be artificially inflating the post count in order to be able to post offers. I have also heard some forum owners mention that "spam accounts" will engage in the forum conversation for as long as months, but then they will start spamming. Forum spam is very bad and very...

    Automatically provision dedicated servers... how?

Talk about the opportunity cost there. Almost every small to medium sized host is using WHMCS, and the dev put his own choices about disliking WHMCS over adding a module for it. His loss, I guess.

    Hosting Marketing Strategies

If only @drmike were here, since he taught me a ton and really deserves some credit. Well, here goes a list, in no particular order: SEO Social Media Marketing (SMM) Web forums Email list marketing (mind you, this is not the same as shotgunning the same deals out to your email list every week...

Where do you draw the line between heavy usage and abuse?

Interested to see how difference web hosts handle this. What's the difference between someone who is using their VPS "heavily" and abusing system-wide resources, like CPU/disk/other?

Looking for information on BitCoin and whmcs

Not a Bitcoin expert in the least, but it is my understanding that it isn't possible to charge-back and therefore there is less fraud on that front. However, on the other front (being non-trackable), I would reckon that brings in even more fraud. Fraud is everywhere these days. I've even...

Looking for information on BitCoin and whmcs

Howdy, have a look at BitPay. It is quite nice.

Where is the consumer hosting market going next?

Economically speaking, the web hosting industry is a classic example of 'decreasing cost industry'. These are companies where the prices of all the inputs continue to go down, and as a result, the price to the end user goes down. Similarly, while there once was (what economists call)...

    What's your language?

I'm a disappointment to the techies. I am fluent in English/Spanish, also know Latin, but when it comes to code, it's just HTML/CSS and basic PHP for me. I had always endeavored to go back and learn PHP, but it was always just easier to find a developer.

Licensecart No Longer SolusVM Authorized Reseller

Darn. It was nice because they were cheaper than SolusVM's pricing. Had I remembered them, I would have moved my licenses over to them (not saying it would have saved the company, but it probably would have helped had just a few others done it). I always liked Licensecart, too, and they have...

    vpsBoard's Future

I think the reason you're seeing so much small talk and chit-chat is the simple fact that this board has become a lot of people who are friends and this is their meet-up space. VPSBoard in some aspects is like a neighborhood bar where you had been going for years, closes down for a year, and...

Kindle e-ink device users forced to upgrade or no internet.

Bezos is known among innovative CEO's for being one of the only CEO's of such an innovative firm with such low profits. Take a look at this graph:  For years he has told investors to believe in him and that he would turn huge profits in the future.

    My homemade slow webserver

I guess now it's time to start selling VPS on there.

    Where has MannDude been?

That's really great to hear. This industry isn't for everyone and can certainly take a toll on anyone who has spent a year or more here in a serious capacity. I sold my company a few months ago and haven't looked back. It's important to do things in life that you're passionate about, and...
