Were you submitting tickets to ChicagoVPS and getting responses from Colocrossing employees? You know I'm going to ask for screenshots. I know there is a lot of heat aimed towards these companies right now but in all fairness we need to verify this for this thread to continue.

I just setup GA, a tad late at that. For the period it reports, it showed about 1,800 visitors and 22,000 page views. The VPS idles at about 80MB ram usage throughout the day. The reporting still seems wonky as it hasn't updated from when I checked last night, and the 'live reports' or whatever...

BuyVM 256MB KVM VPS, Lighttpd, php-fpm, MySQL offloaded to their DB server, etc. More to do though. May switch to nginx soon. I "am" open to that, correct. The DDoS doesn't help.

Sounds like what I would do in the same situation.

  It's more or less to protect visitors of the site from being exposed to potential fly-by-night and summer hosts who aren't operating legally. I told Dominic to post this thread so we could get the community input, as it's really up to all of you.

This place is for virtual servers, not limited to only cheap virtual servers with tons of resources. This community was created before LET got hacked and was never intended to be a 'replacement', so all vps offers are welcome. $7/mo Xen 128MB offers are just as welcome as $8/mo 4GB RAM offers...

The new company that owns it is great, they've made me a great offer to stay but unfortunately for me it requires to relocate to their head office in Houston, TX. I'm quite comfortable where I am, not a fan of cities, and don't really wish to relocate. They needed my answer today and I declined...

There is no price limit on offers posted here. I personally think the $7/mo cap was ruining the market as people fought over pumping more specs in for less money.

Was there an option in Vanilla to do this from the admin CP? Not quite sure.

We've also got some pixie dust we're going to sprinkle around to help out with the load and to ensure we stay up as often as possible.
