GreenValueHost tells their non high paying clients to GTFO

Nice load baby.  Poop load.  Wonder what sort of hardware that's running on?  :) No doubt.  That was made crystal clear when CC processed invoices/payments for HVH.

Best performance tips when resource constraints are not an issue?

Well, what I'd be doing with a larger dedicated box is more sandboxing, testing and pre-rollout planning. Beyond that: 1. Front end caching for static content --  Varnish or Nginx ---> actual real server 2. Clustering.  Multiple actual real servers to avoid downtime, crash, etc. 3. More...

GreenValueHost tells their non high paying clients to GTFO

Wowzers...  Thanks for the merge. I know for a fact that GVH's shared hosting on those two servers was laughably high on abuse.  Load sustained was like 11.xx+ earlier this week when chatting with a customer. Still waiting I guess for HVH/CC to gobble up the VPS offerings.  I mean 200GB + 4GB...

GreenValueHost tells their non high paying clients to GTFO

Another ColoCrossing host with issues.  This time GreenValueHost is bailing out of VPS offers, instead pursuing "cloud" offers instead.   Unsure why everyone wants to jump on the storm front and ride the storm.  If you couldn't handle OpenVZ and the low barriers to entry, I fail how to see the...

Network performs really good out of Caro.  :)  Nice mix of upstreams.

LiteSpeed vs. OpenLiteSpeed vs. nginx vs. Apache 2.2 vs. Apache 2.4!

I am all for non-Apache stuff.. I hate Apache configs.  Glad to see web configs/status/etc. in these servers.  Shortlisted for experimenting!

Shardhost Info - Urgent Client Action

Surely, they appeared to be fashionably tardy on their payments to their DC.  Think 3+ months.  Which is funny, because they weren't with that company more than maybe 6 months.  I think Biloh commented to this effect on LET. I *never* will understand why one little datacenter/colo/dedicated...

Interesting upstream mix at Caro... Wonder if that's what we'd see here: AS3356 Level 3 Communications, Inc.  63% AS174 Cogent Communications 18% AS6939 Hurricane Electric, Inc. 9% AS9002 RETN Limited 4% Where is the "About our VPS" link?  Not seeing it on their website.  URL if you have it.

Running your own radio station recorder

Well, I already  -m  timeout in my wrapper script.  Bounced the time limit up to 60 seconds.  Ideally that helps. I had -a in options, but not -A which does entirely different thing.   Someone wasn't thinking with same letter option there... Throwing this in the script too: --xs-none...

Running your own radio station recorder

@wlanboy,   I saw those options.   Will tinker with my script / wrapper for streamripper to see if any of these correct the misbehaving.  Off to edit :)

LiteSpeed vs. OpenLiteSpeed vs. nginx vs. Apache 2.2 vs. Apache 2.4!

I love these comparisons.  Always taken with a side of real sea salt.    OpenLite, still not putting out a Debian repository ready to use version, right?   Adoption would shoot up some if they did.   Also, OpenLite, does it have a web-based administration?

Do you have a link for looking glass / test files?   Unfamiliar with Caro.  Upstreams on this are? Also, what is port speed on these offers?

Running your own radio station recorder

I've been using streamripper for a long time now. Only problem I have with it is with network hiccups.  When that happens, the recording splits into another file.  So a single recording might end up with 2-4 different files. Any idea of how to prevent that and have it run a continuous single...
