I need to re-assemble the array before I can do that :P I'm just finishing some testing/updating of the firmware before I go thrashing more. Given it's 8 disks i'm hoping to see close to the 2GB/sec mark. Francisco

I really don't know what cockroach crawled into your bottle of vodka but shit son, you've had a chip in your shoulder for years now. I can't speak for everyone else but I personally expect no new business over the ad. I bought the most expensive ad that Curtis is rotating to help the site out...

It depends. If someone packs up a custom Windows 2008/2012, that'll take up 10GB :o Francisco

    Looking for a USA 8GB+ 8 Core+

It's abandonware though. cPanel brought it to market, tried to nickel/dime everyone and they lost big time. In the end they simply released it opensource and don't put any time into it. Francisco

    Crissic Solutions LLC abandon LA

We don't have a single 'normal' person on staff. Well, our session is up and never gives us issues. We've had a few issues with BGP communities not picking up properly but I'm not sure if that was quagga or a brocade/juniper bug. In the end it just started working. BGP is simple and the only...

You probably want to change the 'Ad' text. It's quite possible it's catching that name. Francisco

    Feedback on prices for backups/snapshots

Snapshots would allow the base image idea you have :) Once billing 2 rolls out we'll likely allow 'snapshots only' support and bill it by the GB. With boxes getting to 24+ cores the disk becomes an issue. A single user can burn at max the cores they're allocated but a really really really...

    VPS with standalone firewall?

It's expensive and not many places offer the cisco units. Someone out of softlayer would be able to do it as well as Burstnet but that's about it. Francisco

    Feedback on prices for backups/snapshots

I'm just working out all the details right now as well as how to integrate parts of it :) We had some design issues with OpenVZ but I think Anthony & I have come up with a positive solution. Francisco

    Feedback on prices for backups/snapshots

snapshots last the life of the VPS. We'll be deduping the space so assuming you aren't keeping snapshots of 100% different data every time the cost of it shouldn't be very high for us. Francisco

"standalone firewall"? You mean like one of those Cisco ASA or whatever units that provide some basic DDOS filtering? Francisco

    Openvz Node Security Implementations?

Don't run CSF/APF on a node. The less iptables entries you have the better. Solus will already plaster your node in iptables entries for bandwidth accounting. It's very much possible APF/CSF will bugger those rules up. Francisco
