    You're all doing it wrong.

Price depends on customer acquisition cost. Nothing more really matters. The price is defined by the segment leaders and your margin will be lower than theirs.

Who is the paranoid now? Apple.

I think few parts are special SKUs and I guess they are vulnerable to state-created spywares, but who cares? If I may put my two cents in, I seriously doubt there are many trade secrets stored in Google or Amazon public clouds, and those companies trusting hyperscalers to store sensitive data...

Who is the paranoid now? Apple.

The list includes the world’s four largest memory suppliers, three largest foundries, the largest microprocessor supplier, and Texas Instruments and ST—the two biggest suppliers of analog ICs. http://www.icinsights.com/news/bulletins/Samsung-TSMC-Remain-Tops-In-Available-Wafer-Fab-Capacity/...

Who is the paranoid now? Apple.

Not exactly. Most (if not all) Cisco and HP switches are "Made in Taiwan" BTW HP's Cloudline servers will be built in partnership with Foxconn. HP has been building servers with the Taipei-based electronics maker over the last year, but is now giving a name to its server line: Cloudline

    Hardware Monitoring System?

The buyer is just searching the lowest price for a "wish list". I don't think it is a problem because there is no real problem to be solved. Chances are the same happens in zillions areas where you are not an expert and you don't care/search expert opinion because you don't value the...

    Hardware Monitoring System?

Nope. My focus was the risk of data loss caused by user mistakes, hardware malfunction, or program errors. Not a matter of uptime/availability but data integrity. The "benefits" set the requirements. The cost depends on the requirements.

Online.net: RIP Dedibox SC ! (Fin du support Q3-2016)

It is a solid, huge, diverse, highly-redundant fault-tolerant resilient network. Moreover Online.net is continually upgrading routers and adding capacity, carriers, and peering to cope with increasing traffic. From sustained 150Gbps in March 2014 to 550Gbps in February 2016...

    Hardware Monitoring System?

Assuming you are using a reputable provider, backup is useful to restore one or a set of files (edited, updated, removed, compromised, damaged). Nothing more. Of course if one is using a fly-by-night provider there are others "creative" uses for backup ... but those users think rsync is backup...

Online.net: RIP Dedibox SC ! (Fin du support Q3-2016)

I think Scaleway uses Online.net's network (2Tbps capacity) but I guess some routes may be different.
