Each RIR receives additional IPv4 allocation from IANA

Surprised this was never implemented anywhere. ARIN "suggests" IPv6 in their tickets when requesting blocks, but they don't have any real rules that permit them to deny based on IPv6 utilization.

Each RIR receives additional IPv4 allocation from IANA

That explains the stock change, was wondering how they assigned a few big blocks and didn't change what was left :P

    KVM in Chicago

Is Chicago a hard requirement? We offer out of Jacksonville, Bandwidth backhauls via Atlanta (minus Atrato which is on-net). MS difference should be minimal.

    Mergers and Acquisitions Monday - Twitch.tv + Google and DirecTV + AT&T

$4.99/m to subscribe to an individual channel. Half of that is the streamer's revenue. In some cases, such as Athene, a larger percentage of the revenue from the Sub button could go to the channel owner. Some "event pages" have a larger sub cost, but that's almost always associated with a...

New to colocation... what to look for?

MOST used/refurb gear really isn't that bad. Have bought a bunch of servers, Dual L5520's, Dual L5639's, X5650's, X5660's, so forth with no issue. Only thing we've ever had fail on us was hard drives, and that's new hard drives purchased separately from a different vendor. I will agree though...

Will the Mothership Land in Buffalo (aka DC's eating their young)

Could the name of the business be any worse? I thought Vultr was bad. Makes sense though. Why should a DC rent a server at minimal profit with a pile of IPs when they can sell to VPS customers directly and profit tons per IP they sell? Will likely see more of it happen with IPv4 shortage...

ModulesGarden Triple Update! SolusVM Extended VPS 1.3, Cloud 1.3 and Reseller 1.2.2

What sort of check does it do? Just curious.

ModulesGarden Triple Update! SolusVM Extended VPS 1.3, Cloud 1.3 and Reseller 1.2.2

There should be another release on Monday or Tuesday that puts back the normal solusvm module username implementation (counter per server, no username field on orderform, yada yada). The username on orderform thing will still be there, but I personally won't be using it as you can put anything...

    FedEX sucks

UPS has been doing a lot of smart post stuff too. Amazon Prime order today is being done by that. We'll see if I actually get the package today....

Heads up: OpenVZ updates will probably break your system

So because you're on an "enterprise distribution" that means you shouldn't read changelogs prior to updates? O_o

ModulesGarden Triple Update! SolusVM Extended VPS 1.3, Cloud 1.3 and Reseller 1.2.2

Thanks :) I'd advise against updating to the latest version until this fix is applied, as provisioning is broken entirely unless you use the "Create new (solus) username per order"

    FedEX sucks

FedEx Has proven more troublesome than UPS. We had a FedEx delivery fail to actually get to the Fed Reserve a few different times because the driver was lazy and/or magically thought the Fed Reserve building was closed (hint, the guys with rifles are there 24/7). Happens more times than not. UPS...

ModulesGarden Triple Update! SolusVM Extended VPS 1.3, Cloud 1.3 and Reseller 1.2.2

I just opened a ticket. This was reported last week via direct contact with Konrad as I was getting some custom tweaks done.

ModulesGarden Triple Update! SolusVM Extended VPS 1.3, Cloud 1.3 and Reseller 1.2.2

Don't know why this was released, I reported a bug last week or so with the beta about the "Order Accept Encountered Problems, Empty Username field" when using "username counter per server" and it's not fixed in the version you just released, basically breaking the whole creation process entirely.

Heads up: OpenVZ updates will probably break your system

Sean, We've deployed a few servers since the updates with Solus and haven't had issues. We've gone in and re-enabled conntrack though of course. The bulk of providers are likely fine as they aren't running anything custom. Still find it rather amusing OpenVZ is running ploop as default, but...

    A note about "Verified Providers"

Or there can be a code of ethics with a section labeled "don't be a tool" and just ban those that sell to spammers under this code of ethics.
