    What's for Lunch?

Sounds like someone went to Subway :P  I like their Teriyaki myself. Skipped lunch today, but the kid helped me grill some sausage and brat for dinner tonight.

    BlueVM's domain name was hijacked

CVPS gets exploited pretty frequently - this isn't really much of a surprise.

Super cheap VPS's in Canada (Bitcoin and Paypal)

Does he even have his own TOS now, or is he still using the stolen content from that other guy?

When did you realize you were getting old?

When I realized I could no longer continue using the phrase To live to be thirty, is to have failed at life.

Well, damn.  Been quiet for long enough I thought you were gone for good.

    BoltVM review

Heh, no secret.  At this point, having CC affiliation is a major warning flag for serious buyers, and a typical death sign for a provider.

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

Well, official stance is that the reseller is responsible for the antics and trouble his clients get into.  I see no problems with you doing free hosting - you're always on top of things :P

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

Well, to be fair, it wasn't his fault.  I should've explained our troubleshooting process better from the get-go.  The way I was investigating this issue did kinda look like we were trying to ignore the problem if you didn't know what I was looking for in particular.  But, all's well that ends...

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

Eh, the price is irrelevant.  No matter what he's paying us, he should be able to expect quality service and support.  We're not a "budget" host - we simply happen to have pricing near that demographic because that's what we feel is a fair price to pay. The client that pays a few bucks a month...

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

@Josiah; Well, you're leaving off the part where we've been trying for several days to get more information from you so that we can debug *exactly* what's happening, and all we've gotten in return are "fix it" replies.  In the interest of disclosure, and to show that we have actually been...

Happened to me a time or two.  I typically just keep it on 'Past 48 Hours'/etc now, as the unread posts are marked to differentiate them from the ones you've already read.

Stallion 2 - pictures and daily updates :)

So, here's another update several folks have asked for: Pushed some code this morning that I've been working on - you can now login with your email address on file instead of the PonyVM#### generated username.

Question regarding OVH spam filtering and providers that use them.

Office365 is a *nightmare*.  We're stuck using it at Coke... and I don't know what kind of fustercluck setup they have going on upstream, but I always end up having to use one of my personal IMAPs if I want to actually send mail to someone not on Coke's 365 group (IT claims they're not blocking...

    Travelling Security

I'm with KuJoe on that one.  Outside of my house, I tend to use removable media.  My netbook doesn't use a drive at all - I just clone/deploy a new SD card when working away from home.

    GreenValueHost review

They're too busy trying to fish information about Shared Webhosting setups from other providers to properly take care of their own clients, it seems.

Thoughts on Provider -> Customer notification

The answer to that conundrum is, don't look at their configs.  Rather, have your software set to display certain flags when specific combinations of settings are applied ("Port 25 is not for httpd - would you like assistance in setting you your service?").  You can make your offer of assistance...

Rage4 "Prey-as-you-go" extortioncast DNS business model

You do realize that without verifying someone's ID, you could be screwing over an innocent person that never actually had service with you when you try to sell the debt to a creditor?
