    Raspberry Pi 2

This is exciting news. I was just about to buy a B+ model. Glad I held-off.  There will be some cool projects coming soon, I have no doubt.

    Video Games Thread o' Doom

I wouldn't regard myself as a gamer, but I've harboured a secret addiction to Insurgency since last April. Fantastic game when the other players know how to play.

    LizardSquad

I don't know how accurate this is, but quite impressive display of real-time attacks on a honeypot: http://map.ipviking.com/

    Why do people send spam?

No matter home many times you tell people not to click on untrusted links - some will do it anyway. It's like putting a giant red button in front of a kid and telling them not to press it. It's human nature - they can't resist!

    Seeking servers sponsorship for project

What about chipping-in with Bitmessage? Seems promising, but they still need a security audit. https://bitmessage.org/wiki/Main_Page

whoa - no offence, but this looks like an ergonomic nightmare!

Congress passes bill allowing warrantless forfeiture of private communications

Well you may sneer, but when a client insists on using hardcopy - which is an increasing phenomenon - it's no fun for me driving 200km and back to collect it. You see, there are some companies who now realise that this had nothing to do with 'terrorism', and everything to do with economics and...

Congress passes bill allowing warrantless forfeiture of private communications

Don't be fooled - this is happening in Europe too. You should probably avoid the UK completely.  Look at the torture report - any colluding country mentioned therein will be subject to arbitrary data collection by the Yanks. Otherwise, it's the Russians and Chinese. Nothing is safe. They don't...

    What browser are you using?

OK, so after 2 days of use, re-arranging all my bookmarks and generally setting-up to run nicely, Firefox decides to randomly reset to default. I can't find any way to restore my work. All gone. Really pissed off right now. F*ck Firefox, I'm going back to Opera, despite it's faults.

The Pirate Bay Raided By Police, Site Down

They were getting very heavy on the advertising - maybe was enough for the police to move-in, since somebody was clearly starting to make money from it.

Hardening my server / Reality check

This is what I will do eventually. However just observing has proved useful and informative. Nearly 50% of blocks are from a single Chinese subnet. I've also been having fun with the geolocation data. I reported some idetifiable misdemeanors to Hosting companies and they all took action, fair...

    What browser are you using?

I felt the same way until yesterday. But Firefox had improved since I last used it, so I've gladly dumped Chrome.

    What browser are you using?

Yes I'm looking into it now. I have webpages with multiple divs updating in real-time. Tried Opera USB and whilst it has all the familiar features I missed, it's a little too slow for my liking (not running from USB but from SSD). I will hold onto it though as it's very handy. Firefox it will...

    What browser are you using?

Well after a few hours of using Firefox I have mixed feelings. It's definitely an improvement over the previous version I tried, but I'm constantly reminded of why I never went full Firefox before, namely that some sites refuse to display properly. For example, I run a Subsonic server that...

    What browser are you using?

@DomainBop - I've used lynx and it's nice, but a little basic for some of my needs. I'm trying Firefox again now. Feels better than last time - definitely faster than I remember. Pretty nice actually! One thing though - some of the most popular Add-ons are not verified. Should I be worried?

    What browser are you using?

Hi, I hope this isn't too basic a question, but what browsers are members using? For years I've been using Opera exclusively, but I'm not happy with it any more. Things really went downhill after Opera 15 when they switched to Chromium I was somewhat shocked at the aggressiveness of the Opera...

    Raspberry Pi owners?

I have mine glued to the back of the TV. HD streaming with RaspBMC and some plugins = awesome. minDLNA streams music around the house. I also installed Ruby + Sinatra and use it as a surprisingly capable platform for developing small web apps. Also it's an always-on seedbox for (legal)...
