    INIZ Doubles Bandwidth In Netherlands

I appreciate the efforts you have made to improve your service. Truth be told, I was initially disappointed with the IO4G package as it seemed to have been massively oversold. But in fairness, you responded positively to the complaints. Thank you.

How do you secure your server(s)?

Denyhosts here. Very easy to setup and use.

What do you use your Raspberry Pi for?

Haven't got one yet but I have a few ideas brewing: -zombie backup machine using Bittorrent sync. I'm finished with the cloud. -make a solar-powered music server with battery back-up. -see if I can make a basic music synthesizer/MIDI sequencer. -with camera as a timelapse creator.

    Dedicated server for 3 €

Still waiting for mine. They have the money. I ordered July 26th. Not a peep since then.  Piss-poor effort from OVH. Why would I order from them again?

    External Email

The idea of running my own mailserver terrifies me. Security first and foremost.   I'd rather pay a subscription to an expert to host my mail securely. Still haven't found one, though I'm sure there will be a raft of new services soon.  Also keeping my hopes up for Bitmessage, but it has a...

    Electronics

I started dabbling about 18 months ago by building some DIY synthesizer kits. It's addictive. Currently I am building a polyphonic synth with keyboard (my own design), and a nascent monster modular system.  Wish I had more time.

    Dedicated server for 3 €

On 26th July I got teh following: The money left my Paypal account and I've heard nothing since. I did receive a control panel login, but there is no server to be found. Are these guys rubbish or what?

    Goodbye Lavabit

Won't distributed systems like bitmessage eventually render NSA surveillance impotent?  Genuine question.....

Opera - great but privacy sucks

I'm using Opera + Ghostery and it seems pretty good here. I have heard that javascript can be a security issue - can you give an example?   Although I am not so paranoid, I do want to move away from Google completely. They are a dishonest company - not only in terms of privacy, but in their tax...

    Falling off the Grid

Some good suggestions above that I should explore. In the past month I have moved my business from MS to Linux without any major headaches. I tried a lot of distributions, but the outright winner was Crunchbang Linux. It's a absolute joy. I've mostly replaced Dropbox with BTSync. Though I...

    Dedicated server for 3 €

Sorry to hear that. I should expect the same fate then. Quite shitty of them to take payment and then cancel.

NSA project, "X-Keyscore" collects nearly everything you do on the internet.

Part of me still thinks that these leaks are staged, simply because I can't believe that NSA would lay-out their technologies so conveniently on paper, and in the most laughably amateur presentation.  But then again, maybe they really are that incompetent. They can search the world's email, but...

    NSA can decrypt VPNs?

Hi and thanks for the responses. My question was borne out of technical curiosity rather than paranoia. Your pointers have got me reading.... Cheers again...

    NSA can decrypt VPNs?

The slide suggests that all VPNs in country X can be decrypted and the users identified. This means that decrypting one VPN is a trivial task. No?

    NSA can decrypt VPNs?

Hi, Amongst today's revelations about NSA's data collection activities is the suggestion that VPNs can be decrypted at will. See slide #17 Not being an expert in this stuff, can anyone explain how this could be possible? If it was do-able in 2008, how far have they advanced since then? Cheeeers.
