Damn! A box full of 20 paying customers at an estimate of $1140 / year. Well, you're only around 300 or so dollars away of paying off that corporate fee! That ROI must feel great!! You're still forgetting about the sticky prices of $995 + other topic title features, etc a week!. But wait, your...

I'd very much be happier with Mike running WHT than Penton. Probably could do it himself and still rake in more revenue while sustaining a ethical, safe hosting environment for all.

GreenValueHost was just one example. Looks like they took cared of them after they had their run misleading thousands.

WebHostingTalk Worst of the Hosting Industry

A business that misleads it's visitors by offering corporate member titles that are not checked for quality insurance. Especially when they are hosts that are advertising a service within  WHT. That's not a business, that's called fraud. Regardless if it's a public service or private entity.

Yeah, good point. I could see the ROI be higher as a provider if they only spends $995 for that sticky thread, but if they can get just 5 people to sign up with a dedicated server of atleast $60 a month...  In 1 year that would generate $3600 in revenue. So now that I think of it, it might be...

Thanks for this. Hmm. I'm assuming the sticky threads in the dedicated forum would be $995 a week, and then $600 on top of that if you're a host offering Dedicated and VPS. You're looking at around $1595 (this is not including shared hosting or other sticky additives) a week. That seems to me...

As I said before in my LET topic replying to that raging extremist: He is clouded by the amount of money he has invested into WHT to see the light out of his own ideology views. He is basically stuck in WHT ideology land. He hasn't even argued back countering 1 benefit and why it's actually...

Little late to the party, but please show me where I 'slandered' someone in that quote, thanks. (Hint: You might want to re-read the definition first before replying back).

Limiting the inbound data being sent over a specific port with iptables?

I'm trying to limit the amount of inbound data per IP every 60 seconds. For example, every IP that connects to the server is limited to a threshold of 5 megabytes every 60 seconds and cannot surpass that amount. For example: My rule already limits each IP with up to 10 requests ever 60...

If a client's VPS is suspended, do you still send them an invoice for next month?

And now you finally say that you do? After 4 pages? Hilarious. You are a very, very arrogant person is all I can say. Takes 4 pages of constant babbling to get that from you. That's all I wanted to know, thanks. But, in my case, CVPS DID not open that line of communication and that is bad...

If a client's VPS is suspended, do you still send them an invoice for next month?

'The service is still technically active'. No it's not. MY VPS is offline, no OS is installed. Nothing, Zip, Zero, Nada. That's the same logic as saying a phone provider invoices you for next month, but your plan doesn't even work, but they have your telephone # on file so technically it's...

If a client's VPS is suspended, do you still send them an invoice for next month?

You think I'm embarrassed infront of provider's like yourself that don't open a line of communication to your client when they're suspended before you invoice them? Wow, you really showed me! I am so embarrassed.... God help me. I can nit-pick any post from anyone, anywhere too. We're all not...

If a client's VPS is suspended, do you still send them an invoice for next month?

Mortgage is totally different than an invoice being sent when you have a non-working service... You didn't even use my argument / point correctly (most likely because you cannot comprehend what I'm saying), but I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt. So let's say: Would you pay a...

If a client's VPS is suspended, do you still send them an invoice for next month?

Yeah because I'm everyone's 'bitch' here under this forum and I must kneel before all provider's. That logic.

If a client's VPS is suspended, do you still send them an invoice for next month?

That's entirely my point. The term 'invoice' isn't even used correctly in the hosting industry anymore. It's become just another loosely used 'term'. It's quite sad really... But that was pretty funny, not gonna lie.

If a client's VPS is suspended, do you still send them an invoice for next month?

In this case I am right though :). Opening a line of communication to a suspended client's VPS before invoicing would be the best thing to do instead of just throwing them an invoice and 'hoping they submit a ticket'. I have a feeling I know you know this but just don't want to say it because...

If a client's VPS is suspended, do you still send them an invoice for next month?

Because I never knew about all this WHCMS and their 'automated invoice emailing' bullshit until I made these threads. But it's a general question to all provider's. What I believe should happen: 1) Host suspends client's vps 2) Automatic Ticket should be created to open a line of...
