Google Glass: Is the choice clear?

I just don't see myself doing it. For every time I've thought someone was a douchebag for walking around with their bluetooth headset hollering at no one until they turn their head and you figure it out, I refuse to be the next generation of bluetooth headset douchebags. This is just bluetooth...

    Security incident at OVH

Well if anyone wants my boy meets world episodes and Dropbox full of church event clips... I hope they enjoy my OVH server.

    Ubuntu Edge - Ubuntu Smartphone

I wonder if they've actually built a prototype. Anyone can dream and many can design, but far fewer can combine vision and reality. It's easy to think you can put anything into a small case and it'll work, but the manufacturers out there doing it know how difficult it is and know the kind of...

    Apple developer Web site hacked

Apple has stated what information they believe is at risk and what information they do not. Thankfully passwords are not in that list. The developer database should not even contain the passwords, that should be the Apple ID database and that does not appear to be hacked. I do applaud their...

    KVM anomaly

I too have noticed the issue before on one of my ramnode KVM's. My memory isn't great, but I'm fairly certain that it wasn't CentOS as quite frankly I don't believe I have ever installed CentOS on any of them. I could be wrong. I don't have much to contribute here, but definitely keeping an eye...

“What Is That Box?” — When The NSA Shows Up At Your Internet Company

That can't be possible. The US government is far more intelligent than anyone in the private sector. It's worth noting that I was laughing as I typed that.

“What Is That Box?” — When The NSA Shows Up At Your Internet Company

It's outrageous. The sad part of it is, the only people who care are the people who lean toward a different political party than the one that holds the seat of president. Everyone trusts "their guy" and the government that sits under him, be the name George or Barry.

CC is just a few steps away from selling "vps company" as a product listed in WHMCS. Turnkey ready to go VPS company.

I'm confused. People are having problems with your website. You don't have time to fix it unless they post here, and they should post in an offer thread? Where the hell am I?

    Ubuntu Forums Hacked

Well that works. I can't say I care much about my Ubuntu forums account or the password used on it (old one that was leaked well over a year ago elsewhere). Pretty useless forum for the most part. The ratio of questions to answers is just insane and it makes the forum less approachable.

No need. Your provider has already canceled your service and wiped the node. PayPal closed your account. Everyone has labeled you a scammer. Your project has died a horrible death and you will never be trusted again. I'm giving you a glimpse into the near future. You'll do well to take note.

    VPS/Semi-Dedi for video encoding

I navigated around and signed up from the US without issue. I'm not sure about their support, but the client area is all in English for me and their bandwidth in DC3 has been pretty nice. Here's a quick rundown... CPU model :  Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1220 V2 @ 3.10GHz Number of cores : 4 CPU...

Now 123systems is experiencing a typical outage. You just received 8 support tickets about a node you can't control. As usual, they don't respond to support tickets. You just got 2 paypal chargebacks. Your free node is still as good as down. Your datacenter is about to terminate your service...

You just received 24 support ticket requests, two mentions on twitter about an outage, and a post on LET asking if you're deadpooled. Your response?

Back to my original point. A client is sending out a DOS attack. The process doesn't seem obvious from the top command. Using only command line utilities, how do you determine who the culprit is and how do you suspend their vps?

Preferably a website of some kind. Perhaps write content and then design around it. Visit your website under the assumption that you're a new visitor with absolutely no clue what a VPS is or what your website is for. A website is a presentation.
