    Digital Ocean Reseller?

Actually there's a fair amount of larger enterprise-level companies focused on reselling DigitalOcean servers with a managed kick to it.  I've recommended it to several people before as well actually and it's always have come out to help them out.   In addition, these companies not only...

    VPS specs recommendations?

Howdy Ace, Welcome to the forums.  In terms of gameserver hosting, most of the time I've found the hosting provider's network to be the most important part of the equation.  Make sure you find a provider that has the best latency and network to your users.  The difference is night and day...

    The cesspit / chat thread.

Not a problem @zed!  We'd love to hear what anyone else has to say about the changes. Our concern with switching to a brand new forum software is that it's not something we can easily move over to without risking something.  In addition, its something we will be looking into but we can't...

    The cesspit / chat thread.

At the moment, the newest update to IPB has gotten rid of the "New Content" feature all together and replaced it with the "Unread Content".  We'll continue to investigate this and look into making sure that everything's fixed however.

Hong Kong VPS or Dedicated Server

Thanks.  Didn't HostUS recently get sold or something though?  Or maybe I'm confusing them with someone else.   I'm looking at the HostUS 8 GB RAM, 6 Cores, for 30/month.  Dang that looks really attractive.   However, I guess I should point out, I'm looking for Xen HVM or KVM or a dedicated...

Hong Kong VPS or Dedicated Server

Howdy folks! I'm interested in looking for a Hong Kong VPS or a Dedicated Server. For the VPS, around 4 cores with 4 GB RAM and 80 GB HDD would be appreciated. No New Media Express network please (so that crosses out Dediserve). Oh also, no OpenVZ or any container virtualization please.  The...

    Networking Resources

Howdy folks, So recently I've been working on getting to know more about Networking and routing.  However, anyone have some good resources starting from Networking for Dummies to some more advanced stuff?  I'm definitely assuming the certificate books from Juniper and Cisco could probably be a...

Hosting Multiple Websites on a Single Web Hosting Account

Hello, Sorry but this isn't a tutorial.  You don't go into anything in related to the terminology.  You don't go into the logic behind the technology nor the UI aspect involved (such as cPanel or DirectAdmin or hell even VestaCP).   From what I can read, anyways, it's an unorganized ramble...

LXD Containers: Cram 14.5X More Guests On A Server

Yep it's old news and I'm trying it out right now. Honestly, LXC isn't really my taste, but that's also probably because I'm more comfortable with OpenVZ Management and work.  However, I still need to fiddle around with it more and read more up on it.  I do expect some good things.

    DigitalOcean Unveil Floating IPs

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you automate it with scripts using the DO API?  Or has the API haven't been expanded yet to include this?

Online Gaming via VPS IP (Dante/Socks/Proxifier)

Softether is a fairly straight forward system.   https://www.softether.org/4-docs/2-howto tldr: download the server file, extract, type "make", go through the instructions, install the local client as well while you're at it including the server configuration software.  You can then either try...

Online Gaming via VPS IP (Dante/Socks/Proxifier)

Well the low ping doesn't really matter too much in terms of software, because the biggest challenge for you would be getting a server that's a neighbor network for you.  It doesn't help if your server is 150 ms away and you're using a heavier VPN system.  That 150 ms will bite you in the butt...

Online Gaming via VPS IP (Dante/Socks/Proxifier)

Howdy, Yep I'd recommend Softether for this.  In addition wouldn't hurt to use the client instead of the other clients provided.

Leaseweb Opens up VPSes in Singapore

Leaseweb's network in APAC isn't bad at all.  It's fairly reliable and works the way I want it to.  I mean right now it's not as up to par as some of the other networks such as Host.sg or Softlayer, but it's much better than that New Media Express blend.   Source: I've had a dedicated server in...
