Stay away from Damien and his company SupremeBytes. (my review)

tl;dr there are conflicting opinions that will never reach a common ground, both sides were at fault for not getting any sort of agreement in place, personally I feel that a "if this continues your space will be revoked" warning should have been sent long ago however as there was no agreement it...

Virtual6.net Ceases Operations for unforeseen reasons :)

Jamie, you are Ash's cousin right? Regarding the whole raid thing, if 1 drive brakes you replace it asap anyway and assume the array will die imminently if not, the various levels after that are just about performance or reduced recovery effort, i.e. raid 6 vs raid 10, 6 is easier to recover if...

Internet providers don't think you need fast internet. Cable industry opposes 25Mbps broadband defin

the 'need' is hard to measure but regardless I dont think that the ISP's should be allowed to define this, they only provide the backbone so to speak it is the technologies that make use of this that should dictate the need. You dont build the frame of any structure without knowing what weight...

Inception Hosting - mix of offers, grab a bargain!

Hi Folks,   Few offers from Inception Hosting, I waited for my last offer to get on to the second page before posting this one as it is similar.   Inception Hosting has been in business since December 2010, it is a UK LTD company owned and operated by me, while the original and primary focus...

ARIN Stock Changes Feb 2014 - Down to 1.38

Honestly I would be happy to live with CGNAT on my home connections or pay for a dedicated IP from my ISP if it meant returning IP's back to the pool, it makes sense, nice to have does not outweigh unable to progress due to shortages. Either way the next 3 years will be interesting.

A visual comparison of provider's and their custom control panels. Lots of screenshots!

Nice one, I really like the approach KuJoe has taken as everything is in 1 place.

    Configure SolusVM/KVM Correctly

I think its to do with the ebtables update, previously enabling ip/arp protection in solusvm disabled ipv6 as it had never been configured properly for Ipv6, the solusvm-ipsecure restart is needed to alow ip6 to work since the updates.

Getting spammed LSN adverts by FraudRecord?

Perhaps a bulk email with this link: http://www.fraudrecord.com/report-manager/index.php?action=become-sponsor would have helped I had no idea it existed, the first "news" letter I get is an LSN advert, bit backwards but OK we all make bad decisions I have made my fair share for sure, I will...

Getting spammed LSN adverts by FraudRecord?

I don't understand the argument @KuJoe its already receiving money. I agree it has saved me a lot of stress, but I remember the initial discussion years ago that kicked the whole thing off, even back then the idea of charging for more than the minimum amount of API calls was widely accepted...

I missed the discussion, what were the reasons it would not work and why would it ruin the project?

Getting spammed LSN adverts by FraudRecord?

The big deal is that it is a tool to prevent spam and fraud that sends spam on behalf of 3rd parties, I would have no issues with getting an FR newsletter, I would have no issues paying for FR, but I do take exception of it being used as a tool to push uninvited LSN adverts to my inbox. @KuJoe...

Getting spammed LSN adverts by FraudRecord?

It would have been a clever move by LSN, buy the network that comes pre-equipped with hosts contact details and permission to spam, get their adverts in front of every admin on WHMCS on a daily basis.

Getting spammed LSN adverts by FraudRecord?

The irony of this post is high! I just got a mail from [email protected] which is nothing more than a limestone networks advert, it is even signed: Sincerely, LSN Marketing Limestone Networks, Inc. Simple. Solid. Superior.  You are receiving this message because you have...

Proposed updates to rules -- A discussion

Personally I always thought the posts between offers rule was a bit odd, if anything it encourages fluff posts, the board has a commercial element let it be commercial. I have to admit I often come here, have a quick browse think, hmm nothing catches my interest and I move on, perhaps a better...

Linux install continually fails. Any ideas?

So if the bios picks up the drive, and windows runs from the drive I presume you can see/ mount the drive when booted from the live environment, (just checked and you said you can) what about simply copying the setup/ install files to the hard drive when in the live environment and then setting...
