    How you handle DDOS Customer

I'm trying to convince my brother of that right now. I've been hit with DDOS before because someone didn't like me and I lost a lot of income.

Mini VPS Control Panel in bash

I like it, but I'm with raindog on his standpoint. I have written things in bash - but I'd rather write them in other languages due to the hacky nature of everything.

The GNOME foundation has run out of money

This whole ordeal seems like it could have easily been avoided. How did they not know she was spending the money WHILE she was spending the money? This happened over a course of several years - not overnight.

If you don't have a multihomed setup I would wait until I had more ip addresses so you didn't have to go out and get contracts for that. Most datacenters are already multihomed and give you a blend of bandwidth in their mix. You having another carrier coming in to your cabinet is just going to...

    PHP-CGI vs PHP-FPM on NGINX

Regardless of how badly I have configured php-fpm and/or php-cgi ..... php-fpm is performing better under the DOS I sent it. Do you think I should bring the number of users down to where I don't have 502's for a better result set?

    PHP-CGI vs PHP-FPM on NGINX

Well I edited my article to include that 'There may be some php-cgi modifications you experts can do that will make php-cgi perform closer to php-fpm that I am unaware of and couldn’t find through my research. ' For me -  Out of the box php-fpm performed 100% better with no optimizations.

    PHP-CGI vs PHP-FPM on NGINX

Yes fcgi was using the same children. Looks to me like php-fpm won @vpsbible. Second one you linked is apache with mod_php vs nginx with php-fpm

    PHP-CGI vs PHP-FPM on NGINX

I'm not bragging about anything or even touching on a bytecode cache, I am creating an article about php-cgi vs php-fpm on the code I have provided. You both have the wrong idea about what I'm doing here. I'll take a look at siege for concurrency though :) Even though in this test on the...

    PHP-CGI vs PHP-FPM on NGINX

Well that doesn't change the fact that php-cgi was causing really high load on the server but php-fpm handled everything gracefully. Thank you for that new information though, I will incorporate that in my tuning and article. As we can see from the graphs though, after 30 seconds php-fpm was...

    PHP-CGI vs PHP-FPM on NGINX

Hi Rendus, I figure that I updated the post to give details about what I was testing while you were writing yours. I'm not sure how to configure tsung properly to limit the number of queries per second(if you know how please let me know), and I am not benchmarking a DB server. I am benchmarking...
