If you go the desktop way I would probably use something like this: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/usb-to-dvi-cable Usb2dvi/hdmi and connect all monitors to o e desktop. I'm sure there are cheaper ones around. Perhaps the PI can handle multiple monitors with something like that? Or just get one...

The email looks like it's windows systems for remote desktop browsing (and other stuff). If I read between the lines it looks like a virus or malware got installed on atleast one server, it could even be that the malware was installed in their template and then affecting all servers...

It has also been somewhat of a "project" for me to be able to offer free hosting and from time to time there is a free package available. limited compared to the paid option but no need to post on some forum or place ads on the website.
