CloudFlare enables SSL on all domains for free

As I understand it, the Flexible SSL option (default, and enabled for all accounts), works like this: If the origin server has no SSL: CloudFlare presents HTTPS to the user, and serves from HTTP on origin. Eg: User -> CloudFlare (HTTPS) -> Origin (HTTP) If the origin presents a self signed...

CloudFlare enables SSL on all domains for free

CloudFlare has just launched its "Universal SSL" initiative, which enables wildcard SSL on all domains using the CloudFlare reverse proxy. Blog post: https://blog.cloudflare.com/introducing-universal-ssl/ I'm not a fan of their "Flexible SSL" option, but I understand they'll be opening up the...

    Collaboration Script/System/Solutions

It is a pretty awesome suite - there are lots of planned features upcoming, and one of those is time tracking on cards (how long spent on a task), and I believe that adding endpoints to scheduled cards will be part of that.

    Collaboration Script/System/Solutions

We make heavy use of Trello at VersoBit for task management, time management, and project development. Other than that, it's mostly the Google Apps suite (or whatever it's called now).

    Chromebook, yes or no?

I picked the HP Chromebook 11 because it's a little bigger than netbooks of the past, and has the build quality of the plastic MacBooks (which I always thought was pretty good).

    Chromebook, yes or no?

Yep, no problems with Netflix. First time (if I remember rightly), it sends you to Google to have your device automatically verified, then I assume Netflix has some kind of DRM-circumvention agreement in place with Google after verification. It just worked from the off.

    Chromebook, yes or no?

Despite my above post - the lack for Java can be an issue in this line of work. But, (I don't know about IRC) there are RDP clients for it which have worked well for me, and Skype can now be done online via Outlook.com. I forgot to mention in the previous reply that I have side-loaded Ubuntu on...

    Chromebook, yes or no?

I use the HP Chromebook 11, which I really love far more than I expected I would. My aim was to buy an inexpensive (but good looking, and nice to use) laptop to carry around the city, have on me to travel with, and just generally "not care about". Ultimately if it got stolen or lost, it's a...

BurstNet getting back into the game with SmartHost?

In the light of the new management of BurstNET's actions, I like and partly agree with the "poetic justice" statement - and perhaps such a stab back at them is deserved. But, even still, BurstNET as an entity made a commitment to users privacy, and no matter what what way it is spun, without a...

BurstNet getting back into the game with SmartHost?

@SmartHost - You're still dodging the question of where you gained individuals' email addresses and information, which you went on to use as a sales channel for your new brand. It is easy to speculate, maybe rightly so, that this comes direct from the BurstNET database. If that is the case, it...

    Anyone know some designers?

Aside from self-promoting, I've always recommended VersoBit ([email protected]). We're able to complete all of the requirements you listed - and would love to work with you. We've recently gone through a transition, which includes my appointment as a director. At the moment, our copywriter is...

Computer chairs. What do you recommend?

I'm not sure if this is the exact one - but it looks like the one in my office, which is one of the best chairs I've had to date: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eliza-Tinsley-Executive-Armchair-Adjustable/dp/B004OR13NS

    CaliHop closing down

I haven't seen anything, but about that time ago they payment options disappeared from their invoices - I've spend the best part of the last week to try and contact them to see what's going on (intending to pay the invoices).

    CaliHop closing down

They just powered everything down. AIS say they didn't do it, so it was CaiHop's action.

Felt this coming for a couple of weeks.   Real shame, they provided a decent service.

    504 Issues Here

I've been seeing them every now and then. With regard to keeping the process somewhat in line, I remember @KuJoe posted a script a while back intended to run on a regular CRON:  Don't know how much help that would be if you're locking up from CPU usage, but it might tame things a little until...

It looks I need Your help guys

I think there is merit to both sides of this argument, part of the battle is getting people to actually visit your site, and if the advertising is working - having a clean website with the information prospective clients want to read about, presented in a way that is engaging, helps slower the...

It looks I need Your help guys

I have to strongly agree with @~Lee~ on this. The main page design, mostly the poor choice of colour scheme, really makes it hard to want to stay and read your content, of which there isn't anything worthwhile. Also, seriously, flashing GIF's? Then the next logical step is to move onto...

    A note about "Verified Providers"

I like the idea of a "code of ethics", especially if the community contributes and reviews it, then providers can be split into groups of those who meet it and those who don't - or, just require providers to follow the "code" in order to be part of the providers group.

    A note about "Verified Providers"

I agree, just suggestions. The purpose of the group (logistically) is for controlling who can post reviews, as I understand it. But it could spoof the same title as regular members, and just be for forum permissions, as someone else said earlier...
