    KernelCare - Rebootless Kernel Updates

KGraft is an open source and *free* alternative to KSplice and KernelCare, it was released to the public about 3 weeks ago. https://www.suse.com/communities/conversations/kgraft-live-kernel-patching-now-available-download/ Edit: There is also one called KPatch, these tools are less automated...

    Monitoring Service Beta (Sentinel Tower)

I don't see any license information in the code or on the site so there was probably nothing picked yet. The code is at least readable and commented as opposed to obfuscated like some projects. Its nice to have alternatives, depending on prices a SaaS solution may be nice.

    Monitoring Service Beta (Sentinel Tower)

Looks pretty nice, might be worth adding a <title> tag for a pretty bookmark.

    Monitoring Service Beta (Sentinel Tower)

Is your "agent" open source or do you just distribute a binary file?

    Burst.net Using Expired SSL Certificate.

Oh well, happens to the best of us, I've seen obscure Google sub-domains with expired certificates at some point or another.

TeraFire, LLC -- BitCoin Now Accepted

From my understanding most providers that use bitcoin use a service such as BitPay that uses the current exchange rate between USD/BitCoin on the fly during purchase to give an up to date price then after the purchase completes it converts the bitcoin immediately to USD.

Running a lightweight GUI on your vps via X2Go

Welcome to VPSBoard! Glad to see that the x2go project is alive and kicking ;) I personally recommend it to everyone as an alternative to VNC for the native out of the box security (tunneled over SSH) as well as the dynamic resizing of the desktop.

    A note about "Verified Providers"

Or you know, you could keep the verified provider title private and use it as an access control for posting offers instead of a visible title.

    Does GVH kill torrent processes?

If I recall, sometimes just renaming it doesn't actually mean thats what will show up in "ps" which I assume is what they are using. If MC = MineCraft then the process name will be "java"

    Does GVH kill torrent processes?

They probably started killing torrent processes globally since those 100TB plans likely caused a huge problem with people torrenting and bandwidth utilization.

What's your Windows text editor of choice?

I like sublime text, simplistic and easy to use - it offers a "Vintage mode" to use Vi bindings to control it, most of the power in sublime is with different key combos. Edit: Oh, and it works on Linux too so the theme/fonts/settings can be cross platform.

    Is this RRD graph correct?

In instances where network device ports are monitored, switches for example. The graph will be in the perspective of the network device, which would have the inbound and outbound opposite from the perspective of the server the port connects to.  I'm not sure about servers themselves but this...

Requesting photo ID via email OK?

In some senses it could be seen as insecure, its a very routine thing for some companies as typically an email (gmail account) will have vastly more information than what is on the ID specifically. You could use PGP encrypted mail with a mail server that you only operate, but then there is the...

Wouldnt OVH fit your needs? I've seen references to seedboxes being popular on their network so things are snappy.

GreenValueHost forced password reset - Security breach?

It was just more of a reassuring statement, I apologize, they are an active member in this community and I would not want to risk their anonymity. I'd rather not be hassled by them when they see their name :). The information is freely out there, just have to dig it up.
