    <3 Comcast and IPv6

I wish my ISP, or an ISP available in my area would roll out IPv6.... I used to have a decent HE.net tunnel setup but since I got their IPTV package I'm forced to use one extra shitty router that doesn't support tunneling. :(  Maybe in 10 years.    I don't think AT&T is offering v6 yet so props...

A scenerio and a question for everyone

I would say just pay the $15, it's quite a reasonable fee.  While one hand, you have already paid for a lifetime license, however those usually don't get support after X months/years.  If you use this software and like it, I would think it's worth $15 and you'll help ensure the company is still...

I apologize if it's been mentioned previously and I've missed it, but what is your relationship to DO?

    BuyVM Legal Defense Fund? LOL

That's not an issue for me, A. I only purchase VPS(es??)  that come with Native IPv6, B. my network is developed enough that I already have a solid provider in all locations that CC offers, aside from Chicago, still waiting on that one.

    BuyVM Legal Defense Fund? LOL

Well this is probably part of it, but I'd say it also has something to do with multiple database compromises, poor node performance and IPv6 coming soon forever.. Censoring only the dates is certainly an odd tactics, names and emails maybe but dates?  I thought the ticket Chris posted was in...

    Looking for 8 Core Dedi

You can get an 6 core from Datashack for $35, aside from that you're going to have trouble finding something at that price.  Most of the dual L5xxx's go for around $50/mo at the minimum.   You might be better off renting 3 x Kimsufi's.

Tips for optimizing apache in cpanel?

Neither of them have official cPanel support, however the LiteSpeed plugin is quite good, although I'm not sure how well OpenLiteSpeed works with cPanel.  Nginx support is kinda eh, most of the free plugins are awful.

    OpenVPN IPv6 Tunnel

Has anyone setup an IPv6 tunnel with OpenVPN?  The tutorials on the internet are outdated and confusing since OVPN did not have official IPv6 support until recently.  I'm trying to use OpensVPN as an IPv6 over IPv4 tunnel with a Debian/Ubuntu host and a Windows client.  I was using TunnelBroker...

GreenValueHost outsources customer support to India.

You forgot to use the color purple... GVHJon should step back as being the public face of the company.  Let your "Vice President" handle PR as you're obviously not so great at it.  Also, an hourly VP?  I wonder what his qualifications are.

Poor IP Reputation from Client Abuse

I don't know of one but it's easy enough to write a bash script to use rblcheck. Here ya go: There's a billion SBL/RBL so obviously you can't check them all but you can run this and if you get any hits you could always run that IP in MXToolBox or one of the others that checks 100+ lists...

Poor IP Reputation from Client Abuse

It frustrates me when a VPS or email account is compromised and used to send SPAM, then the clients try to demand fresh IP's because they're on a blacklist.  That and people bitching about their mail going into SPAM because according to them, their marketing emails aren't SPAM...

    Control Panels

cPanel is the industry standard and has been for many years now, everyone is so used to it and it's support is universal that it's really the only choice.  Out of all the custom shared hosting control panels that I've come across while doing migrations, I'd have to say that 99% of them were...

    100TB a month challenge

So... No?  If you owned the box hosting the file I'd be defending you but you were not only wasting GVH resources, which I guess was the idea, you were also wasting the resources of the speedtest server. I still wouldn't call it a DOS attack, just moronic.

I don't believe you, I don't think the US government has much interest in your little VPS business.  I believe you meant confidential, even that wouldn't make sense but it'd be closer.

When is creating a new CSR + Certificate needed?

There's no reason to keep old CSRs, just keep the private key and certificate itself safe.  The only time you should generate a new CSR is if your private key is compromised.
