    BPF: A Bytecode for Filtering

I love this.   I love you. This is a very interesting thing I wasn't too knowledgable on.  Thanks for the quick rundown!

Sorry, you don't have permission for that!

Not a problem buddy.  It's what I'm here for. If it's still giving you some grief let me know directly and I'll tear IPB a new one :)

Sorry, you don't have permission for that!

Thanks got the PM! I think I took care of everything now!  The server/system apparently thought you were a malicious IP or sorts.  Anyways got you off the the list!

Sorry, you don't have permission for that!

Hm I'm looking into it now. That's a very odd problem you have there.  Mind PM-ing me the IP that doesn't work? Thanks!

    No socket connect to server

What do you mean by your dedicated server control panel? It sounds like you need to contact your host.

    Home Network Architecture

The door has all the finish around it, it's also one of those doors that is actually pretty tighly done besides for the slight slit on the bottom. After talking with a good friend of mine, I totally blanked they made those flat ethernet cables.  I've currently ordered one and we'll see how it...

iwStack - Price Reduction for Large Instances and Virtual Router

Many of you guys are probably familiar with Sal and Prometeus (I know I am...  Love their service!)! I recently received this email a few days ago and I figured I'd put this on here.   I've always been a big promoter of services I really enjoy, and Sal and his team does a pretty bangin' good...

    Home Network Architecture

Actually thanks just re-read your thing.  I guess I missed the part where you talked about latency. It's a nice thing, however from what I can tell that hardware costs about 45 to 50 dollars for a basic kit (and it still has a US plug meaning I would need an adapter for local power type and all...

    Home Network Architecture

Hm... it's definitely something to consider then.  However I'm still a bit skeptical about it. How much of a latency overhead does it usually run?

What to do with my High End VPS?

If you could then everyone would be buying VPSes left and right.  It's how you use the VPS (e.g. hosting websites, selling VPSes, etc.) that generates income.

    Home Network Architecture

Not too sure, but it's an apartment complex.  That could possibly open up some problems.   Maybe I should just take a sledge hammer to the wall...

    Home Network Architecture

Thanks, yeah I'm fine with 100 Mbit/s since it's not like I'm going to be using a full 100 Mbit/s (nor will I even have access to it).  Right now I have a single DDDWRT Router running as the core/main router, however recently the WiFi part has been pretty unreliable (cutting off at odd times).  ...

    Home Network Architecture

So, @MannDude may have asked a similar post, however this one's for me. So for a long time I've only been using my wireless network.  My desktop has a wireless network card installed that I use.   However, I've recently wanted to go more through a hardwire route since my wireless network is...

    Anyone used a Symple PC?

All fair enough points, however my main concern is the long-term impact of using outdated inefficient hardware. Of course a total analysis of the expected life-span of the product should be performed. At some time you'll hit the break-even point where the longer-term use of newer hardware has a...

Looking for a G-Mod server to run on VPS, Which host do I use?

It's an older thread that was dug up. Anyways though, there are several providers who do have DDoS Protection included in with their service. For example, those in OVH (and recently Psychz last I Recall) have DDoS Protection available. If I recall correctly, Iniz's LA Location now has 20 Gbit...

What to do with my High End VPS?

Well.... I know this is surprising, but most people purchase a VPS with a purpose already in mind. Let it expire, save the money you get from owning the VPS and put it to other use, such as food or whatnot. There's no easy "set a VPS up and make money" thing except for some shady stuff.
