Full disk encryption on a KVM VPS?

Use encrypted lvm, not much else to say. There shouldn't be any special configuration needed compared to non-KVM environment.

    EV SSL

Sure, but if you only have 100 clients with 33% turnover rate then how can you be sure that the boost is because of EV SSL?
  8. P

    EV SSL

They said a few %, not large-ish unexpected increase. It's not as though immediately after adding EV you'll get a bunch of sales.

    EV SSL

Hm, if it's only a few %, how do you know it was because of the SSL o_O

Do you prefer a Gbit VPS with limited Bandwidth or a 100Mbit unmetered VPS?

Unmetered is BS, so definitely gbit. Unless you're talking about dedicated 100 mbps port..

    Distributed Filesystem Cluster

Regarding glusterfs: while it is a pretty stable filesystem and offers extensibility, their approach to replication and striping is complete shit. You have to define explicit replication and striping "bricks", which are basically sets of node that can be used for doing that. If you want both...

    Distributed Filesystem Cluster

If you want to mount the DFS at mount point with POSIX interface then you need FUSE. Tahoe-LAFS can be accessed with other methods, but then you'd need to write most of your web application around it. Also Tahoe-LAFS doesn't store metadata like file permissions and it could be very hard to use.

    How you handle DDOS Customer

    a) Obviously host is responsible for making sure that whatever they do doesn't cause issues for others. Neither RamNode nor BuyVM have issues because of this, they handle it in different ways (e.g. increasing time nulled if the attack was large). Anyway I was clearly saying from perspective of...

    How you handle DDOS Customer

Well you do it for two hours, don't you? Pretty much the same.. Edit: like, especially if you just get a stream of attacks a month, the only thing you might care about is whether the service is terminated, since you want to keep your files. Even if it's 24 hours (like VaporNode) not a huge...

Please help me: VestaCP - Cannot get outgoing mail to work with an external client

Well, you could set up a tunnel to your exim so it sees the address as local, but if you don't do it correctly it'd be security issue, and either way it'd be a strange configuration.

    How you handle DDOS Customer

This is why I like RamNode, someone can pay $5 and generate a network flood for a minute or so, and IP gets null routed for five minutes or so (unless it was a really large attack), but then it comes right back online and hardly affects me. If you don't care about null route now and then, then...
