    Anyone using Tox?

I found out about it very early on, only problem is no one actually used it so was pretty much useless to me.

Dammit, had nice weather up until today. Lots of rain, this thread has cursed us all. =(

GreenValueHost becoming ColoCrossing, dumping providers, etc.

Sent a PM, would rather not get our name listed on a drama thread honestly. P.S. I know I'm very late, only read the thread properly just now.

    OOB 'Management' switch recomendations

Managed to pick up some HP 1910 24G's last year quite cheap (£20/piece off eBay IIRC), was a heck of a deal and they've been very solid. In my experience and which is shared by many others, the older Cisco's can go for dirt cheap on eBay and still be very reliable. That is probably your best...

GreenValueHost becoming ColoCrossing, dumping providers, etc.

Meow. :-) What have I got to do with this drama, perhaps your confusing names? I'm sure everyone that's been around a while knows I'm Humza/Infinity. Never had a leaving speech to my knowledge. EDIT: don't worry, just got home after a very long day, not much time for drama these days, so takes...

    WHMCS RainLoop

What MartinD said, a hook, it's not too had with WHMCS and doesn't take all that much time to code if you know exactly what you want and if you have a good approach to it. If you haven't already looked at other hooks as examples, look at them, look at their wiki too and also look at the database...

    cPanel rant

Odd... I've never seen that feature before. I guess if any of my clients have seen it, they noticed the crazy price tag becuase they always seem to ask when they want a SSL certificate.

    Wanted: 2U Server In Europe

Unlikely you're going to want to get something in the UK, due to the dual Gigabit and the expenses but on the off-chance that you do we have a good lot of servers which fit those specifications that are unused and are happy to build additional if needed. We're also happy to handle logistics...

    Iraq 2014 - Viet Nam 1975

I'm not really that familliar with all the details of American's recent involvements and internal polictics related to it, but it was an eventuality that a group like ISIS would come out, when those people that are fighting for ISIS were kids they witnessed their country put in termoil and they...

    DigitalOcean Planning UK Location

What is bad about Vultr's UK location? Apart from being single-homed, which I don't like the connectivity is pretty good.

How did you register your business?

We went though CompaniesMadesSimple as it seemed like a good option, but honestly it was a bit of a waste of money. Everything is easily done at Companies House (UK), so we're direct, it's better.

    AlienLayer is back!

Hm, I'm fairly sure they owe me money. They've done this plenty of times, relaunched and then gone silent. Last time didn't they copy BuyVM with the DDoS protection, SQL offload and SSD caching or something?

    Which location would you choose?

You won't find a provider that has good connectivity to every single part of the world, realistically. The UK won't be amazing for Asia although it will be acceptable, but it really depends on the individual provider and how well connected they are.

Google AdSense - Leak from former employee.

Just noticed this, seems very likely that this is true. Around that time, I was heavily using Adsense and I got banned after my first payout, which was pretty large. I can't remember what the reason was but I knew it wasn't factual and didn't make sense. Not surprised at all.

    Network Lookup Tool feedback wanted.

Quite cool! When it comes to providers in RIPE I tend to use their RIPEstat tools. I'm liking the provider relationship that you put but there are some more features that can be added, like viewing additional information on the IP prefixes including PTR delegation and such which would be useful...

    List of community links.

Well you can't really generalise what tech folk listen to, not all of us are crazy dubstep fanatics. I don't know how the vpsBoard community will fate there, because there isn't really a genre *everyone* will like.

New to colocation... what to look for?

I would have to agree with Matteo, used servers isn't a great idea because it'd probably be more prone to failure sooner. Now if you had a dedicated server which was rented most providers would take care of hardware replacements for you and in a good timeframe, with co-location that will be more...
