Maybe it's not as bad as it seems.... just a new way to do VPS.  It reminds me of purchasing hardware from a provider, then "colocating" with the same provider (for $9/m).  Except it's a VPS... :P

Funny you say that.. the old Acer is running Ubuntu right now (was much easier than Windows for an old family member).  Reinstalling back to factory settings at the moment... I'll be listing the laptops on this forum (instead of PM) within 3-4 hours.  Thanks for your patience.
