OVH has an amazingly massive infrastructure in place that allows them to do 100M unmetered at such a low price. Show me any VPS provider that can compete with that. They can't. VPSes are better a lot of the time but these uber cheap dedis have some good uses as well.

What stage in the order does it decide and do they take paypal? 

Well to be honest I use aggressive cloudflare rules when possible and I usually just backup to S3 with Duplicity. I am not running anything too critical.

So I was bored and started thinking about building a CDN with cheap VPSes. I was thinking something like latency based routing combined with rsynced nginx machines would make a pretty simple but fast CDN. Has anyone tried this and would anyone be interested in using a service like this? Also...

Personally I think it is really important to log/graph everything. You never know what statistic will help you diagnose an issue down the road.

Yeah I find it great for getting community tips even before you actually contact the helpdesk.

I think live chat makes sense if it fits your product/price-range. Honestly just having a really good ticket response time might be just as good.
