Howdy and welcome to you all! :)

    Ordering from Voxility?

I haven't heard they don't accept individual customers. Last I used them I simply registered an account on their site and got in contact with a salesperson there and everything was taken care of. I'd say contact your assigned salesperson (you'll be assigned someone once you make an account)...

Renting vs Owning Hardware: Things to Consider

Howdy folks! HalfEatenPie here with another article! This time the comparison and things to consider between renting and owning your server hardware! We’re going to cover the common features, the costs, and at the very end discuss the taxes. This article was mostly geared towards individuals...

    [ASK] VPS Business from HOME?

Howdy. So... don't be offended when I say you're probably gonna be chewed out pretty quickly here by some of the more veteran/experienced people here. I will offer some pointers though. 1. Probably not a good idea for you to host it at home. I know it's the cheapest alternative but you'll...

    GreenValueHost, turning a new page!

Secure Dragon OpenVZ 128 MB (New York)

That really bites.  Sorry you got some bad luck there with shipping.

Secure Dragon OpenVZ 128 MB (New York)

That's...  Terrible news.  Wow that really sucks. I hope you had insurance on it or something.  Get the funds back.

Loving those numbers. Good job @KuJoe!

    Catalysthost OpenVZ 128MB (TX)

Not a problem and I totally understand. You'll setup your monitoring and your service, we'll make sure the server is online, stable, and connected to the internet. Our own calculated network outage during this period was roughly around 35 minutes, so yours going on even longer is something we...

    Catalysthost OpenVZ 128MB (TX)

Thanks for keeping up with this @wlanboy! Appreciate it! I have a question though... From what I can tell, that should be 1 hour and 32 minutes of downtime since the last update. The 1 hour and 17 minutes are from one of the core routers acting up and being replaced immediately (once the problem...

    Prefer IPv4 over IPv6

Haha well already did that before ;) That's how Japan was chosen originally.   Originally it was supposed to add 30ms or so to latency (totally workable), but instead it adds about 200ms.  Not so great.

    Prefer IPv4 over IPv6

Haha yeah, I've setup similar things as that in the past but for this one of the end goals is to make this as painless for everyone else in the house (and guests) and done automatically instead of manually configuring Google.  Either way, IPv6 was more of a novelty and a test than anything. ...

^ Same applies for vpsB. No.

    Prefer IPv4 over IPv6

Thanks.  That would have worked.  If...  I didn't grow frustrated a few minutes later at how terrible the IPv6 traffic was.  Added 100 ms from me to BuyVM Las Vegas between IPv4 and v6, added 300 ms from me to Google, and the straw that broke the camel's back was that it started giving me Google...

    Prefer IPv4 over IPv6

So I'm just going to toss this out there and see if anyone can point me in the right direction. I just finished setting up the IPv6 tunnel via HE Tunnelbroker for my home connection.  It's absolutely fantastic!  Problem is, HE's IPv6 location closest to me is still pretty far away (network...

[Confirmed] GreenValueHost being sold to XFuseSolutions

I mean at least now it's confirmed.  Before that it was only suspected.  Sucks the guy's on the line legally for Johnny's screw ups.

[Confirmed] GreenValueHost being sold to XFuseSolutions

So...  tldr Lance was the guy who put everything under his name and took all the legal risks while Johnny went around and screwed everyone?

[Confirmed] GreenValueHost being sold to XFuseSolutions

I'd have to agree 100% with @AnthonySmith.  However, because you're actually much more of a reasonable individual than Johnny, I'll accept it as so.  It's just hard to actually accept it.

THE TWISTS IN THE STORY LINE. SO DELICIOUS.
