    Linode vs DigitalOcean?

Hm.  Well when I used to have my Singapore DigitalOcean VPS it was riddled with packetloss and downtime (network downtime mostly).

    AlphaNine.com | VPS 4GB Ram total, 150 GB HDD, USD $9.99/Monthly

So... besides the same question @drmike asked (this is required for your offer to be approved)... What's the difference between the Physical and Abstract memory?  Do you mean Guaranteed vs Burst?  Swap?   I've never seen it expressed as Physical and Abstract, so simply curious.  Also, what...

    Linode vs DigitalOcean?

Haha well just letting you know ahead of time, Linode and DO are basically at the same price point.  10 dollars per gig.  However they do have different distribution of other resources, such as Linode offers more HDD space and CPU usage.   It seems more people consider Linode more premium than...

    Raspberry Pi 2

haha honestly those ODROID-C1 could technically be much better since they have a more powerful CPU. However, Raspberry Pi does have a much bigger community to work with which is a major plus.  While I'd say a colocated Raspberry Pi is cool as a novelty item, I probably wouldn't use it for...

    Raspberry Pi 2

I guess they ran out and now are accepting preorders for their stock coming in on February 16th (when I first saw, they had 250 units in stock).  So 2,700 units will be coming in on February 16th and they're expected to get another shipment by March 16th.

    Webhostingtalk / Inet Interactive SOLD!

I agree. Honestly the most appealing to me are the numbers.  I've stopped really reading the letters.  Also the bigger font sizes are probably the most effective part of their advertising thing.  Pinned threads do absolutely nothing for me.

Yep!  Element14 finally updated their site to hold this!   As for me.  I totally snatched one up!

So the Raspberry Pi 2 is currently out for sale!   Sauce: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/02/02/raspberry_pi_model_2/ For those of you guys who just want a tldr and specs: Raspberry Pi 2 is said to be "at least 6x" better performance than that of the B+ Model.  it's now available for...

Things to consider when choosing Colocation?

@Munzy told me his recent/yearly tax for his server was over a hundred dollars (in Texas).   So probably best to know how much it's going to cost ya haha.

    OVH vps, kimsufi

Yes.  I'd say don't use the OVH VPS Classic lines for actual important/production use.  Those things restart and are pretty bad to begin with (they're mostly OpenVZ inside VMWare).   If you want a pretty decent VPS from OVH I'd say go with one of their resellers or go with their Cloud line (OVH...

    Server specs/security on billing panel

Honestly in my own opinion, I'd get a dedicated server (perhaps a low-powered atom?) for your billing panel and lock it down good.  That separation from VPS and other clients would be really good thing you'll want to have. If you really want a VPS for this, then get a KVM (or Xen HVM) VPS with...

Things to consider when choosing Colocation?

Hm I never really bothered to investigate specifically what tax it was in Texas that applied to colo.  So I guess it's the personal property tax then eh?  Good to know.   You are pretty awesome, there's no denying that!

Things to consider when choosing Colocation?

YOU'RE STILL AROUND!  HORRAY!   Also thanks for clearing that up.  Several people I know moved their colocations out of Texas just because of their new taxes, so that was right on my mind.

Things to consider when choosing Colocation?

Yep setup the network and the OS first (for proxmox if you have more than one drive then install Debian first, setup software raid, and then install Proxmox using this guide but be forewarned, this method doesn't make the bridge, so you're going to need to manually make the bridge, so set...
