The latest version of iDRAC is working great. iDRAC is more professional than IPMI in my eyes. IPMI has some bugs, especially with the older motherboards. Works without problems on our E3 and E5 servers though.

I hope that there will be an official WHMCS -> Hostbill migration script sometime so we can move to Hostbill. We are using Hostbill for some other services and I have to say that I like Hostbill over WHMCS.

We have also used the Samsung 840 Pro disks, because the Samsung 830 disks are great. The Samsung 840 disks are not working well with RAID cards, we use LSI, but also heard some people with Adaptec experiencing the same problems.

One of the benefits of Hardware RAID is the write back caching, we use LSI 9271 controllers in our servers and these controllers have 1GB DDR3 cache. In combination with a BBU battery will really boost this your write performance. 

We used Onapp before and moved everything to VMware vSphere. I really love VMware, it's great! A very stable and professional product!
