That is correct, this is mainly because it costs money. However cheap and useful the software is, it still costs. Not having to reboot is sometimes a lifesaver but often you'll find that your node is actually broken or facing some pretty bad issues once you've rebooted as these issues don't show while the system is running.From my experience a large percentage of "low end" providers don't use Ksplice and reboots for kernel upgrades are common in low end land.
