Apt-get Repo Check help

I am looking for a way to check if one mirror is the same as another. What file should I use to check against.

From what I have looked up I think it is the source file, but I may be mistaken.

Just looking for a little guidance.

Are you looking to check the MD5 sums for the example to check file authenticity?

Lets say there is a debian repo.

There is a mirror of this repo.

I want to check if the mirror repo is on the same version / sync'd with the master.

What file(s) would I check to confirm this.

Im not trying to verify every file in the mirror.

Are you hosting that mirror yourself or you want to check up a 3rd party mirror? Which mirror are you using?

I want to do both, I host a mirror myself and I want to check if it is up to date with the master.
