Host Mist LLC is looking for a couple on-call support technicians to provide support to customers between the hours of 7 AM - 3 PM (1st) or 3 PM - 11 PM (2nd)  Eastern Time. We are also looking for some motivated sales representatives.

Support Technician:

Qualifications:
- Experience administrating Linux based operating systems (CentOS, Debian, etc).
- Knowledge of SolusVM, OpenVZ, KVM, Xen (bonus), WHMCS, cPanel, and Direct Admin (bonus).
- Excellent communication using the English language.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic issues and escalate as needed.
- Ability to be friendly with customers without losing your cool.

Tasks:
- Answer support tickets (L1 / L2) between 7 AM - 3 PM (1st) or 3 PM - 11 PM (2nd) Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
- Escalate complex issues (L3) to L3 support or optionally resolve them.

Pay:
Per-ticket basis. Pay increases with level of support provided. Once ticket loads increases, you will be offered a base wage.
 

Note:

Please no outsourcing firms.

Sales Representative:

Qualifications:
- Experience in generating sales leads.
- General knowledge of web hosting including cPanel, SolusVM, OpenVZ, KVM, and Direct Admin (to meet user's potential needs).
- Excellent communication using the English language.
- Ability to assist customers in upgrades / downgrades / new orders.

Tasks:
- Generate new sales leads.
- Answer sales tickets.
- Turn leads into sales.

Pay:
Commission based - negotiable.

Just a couple of quick updates. First shift has been filled. Looking for a system administrator (or a company)  to maintain some servers.

System Administrator:

Qualifications:
- Experience administrating Linux based operating systems, namely CentOS.
- Knowledge of SolusVM, OpenVZ, KVM, Xen, WHMCS, and cPanel
- Excellent communication using the English language.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and fix them as needed.
- Ability to do routine maintenance.

Tasks:
- Routine maintenance which includes updates.

- Monitoring servers (automated)

- Fix and resolve the occasional issue.

- Report any major issues found (such as hardware failure, etc)

Pay:
To be negotiated. Ideally on a per-server basis
