Hosting companies opening their servers in Discord

I have some of the hosting companies opening their own servers in Discord - a chat group, wherein they are providing support to their clients.
I would like to know how beneficial is this strategy? Is it a good alternative to live chat support integrated on website?

It really depends on how you would like to handle your clients. Are you a person can handle different inquiries in one go? I don't think using one chat group to support all clients would be systematic.
