Jabber Websignup

For a free project (jab.li/jabber.wf) i'm searching someone to:

1. Setup and secure the Jabber server, a Debian 7 VPS + IPs as required + SSLs + Domains are provided.

2. Code a Webinterface (+ simple website design, bootstrap or alike is fine) for signup with secure captcha, basic logging (in SQL, IP of Signup + Username) and a admin side to see accounts with high message volume + targets (no content!)

Which Jabber server is not relevant but i prefer prosody.

Pricing in the low XXXEUR range.

Not trying to crash anyone's opinion or whatnot, but...

wouldn't OpenFire fit the bill here (might requires some bending here and there)?

Anyways good luck on this project!

Certainly, as long as it works securely, on Debian and scales any Jabber server is fine.

Pretty much what Aldryic said, you're asking for a lot in return for little cash.

I did something very similar for my Eve Online corp by writing an auth site and tying it into ejabberd. It was quite a bit of work to initially code, test, and work out all the bugs.

Done this same type of task but for business networks. Would take on this project but it would have to be in the XXXX range.

That is a very cool idea. EvE Online is awesome.

That's asking quite a lot for not very much compensation.
Really? I had entire VPS panels coded for 500EUR and they still work fine - This here should be fairly easy, the Jabberds provide registration options and APIs (if not entire PHP classes for some).

I'm also willing to opensource it if that changes anyting.

Err... right.  Sorry, but I'm just not buying that - unless you paid a bored highschool kid (or highschool `vice president`) to do these 'panels', you're not going to get a professional project of that size done for that low of a cost without making Solus look like the epitome of security.

Seriously though - you're asking for someone to setup and harden the VPS, install and configure the daemon, AND design and develop not only a user interface, but admin controls.  All for a couple hundred Euro.  To put that into perspective - it's like me asking someone to repave my driveway for 200$.  Sure, I could just pay the local kids to do it - but I prefer a driveway that won't segfault and I can actually leave my truck on without having to worry about exploits or a 0day that will shred my tires.

If you want to save money, do it yourself.  Otherwise, accept that professional work requires professional pay.
