KVM Performence issue

Hello,

We've setup KVM on CentOS.

Our KVM VPS works just fine when VPS configuration is up to 2 GB with 4 cores. Guest system is Windows Server 2008. That 2 GB VPS can use fully it's resources and all applications run just fine.

But the problem occurs when we want to run VPS with 10 GB and 8 cores.

We can't even use 40% of VPS RAM (CPU on 10%) and that VPS just starts to lag via Remote Desktop Control.

Our hardware is just fine as we have a lot of physical resources left (RAM/HDD/CPU).

Is there some limit that KVM can run on single VPS?

Are you in control of the host node or do you only have VPS access?
