Yes, we give out more then your typical 1 core. Mind you we do actively monitor for CPU abuse.
We decided we wanted to be different from other providers and allow our clients the ability to compile their source code and do updates quickly. They get to complete their tasks quickly and live happy.

I will add that there are hard limits in place to prevent someone from maxing out the entire server but we still give our clients access to threads if they have services/applications that like threads.

We haven't had any major issues or complaints. We have terminated some bitcoin miners but they lasted for a minute before we noticed a spike in the CPU longer then normal. But the hard limits protected all the other clients from experiancing any slowness or downtime.
