OVH Rescue mode bug;

Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd post this here incase anyone needs to use rescuemode and has the VAC permanently enabled on their IP.

Basically when you boot into rescue mode it will email with the credentials to log in, if your main IP is under VAC then the rescue system doesn't send this email therefore you can not use rescue mode and the support guy will tell you that it needs someone to go and take a look as hardware must be faulty.

To disable the VAC you need to:

Remove IP from permanent mitigation on the VAC (API console)

1- Access the API (https://ca.api.ovh.com/console/#/ip) and log in with your OVH account in the top right corner

2- Remove a IP of permanent mitigation : Click on "AntiDDOS option. Delete IP from mitigation", if your IP is x.x.x.x: * ip*: x.x.x.x/32 * ipOnMitigation* x.x.x.x * [Execute]

To re-add it later on: Add IP to permanent mitigation on the VAC (API console)

1- Access the API (https://ca.api.ovh.com/console/#/ip) and log in with your OVH account in the top right corner

2-Add IP to permanent mitigation on the VAC: Click on "AntiDDOS option. Add new IP on permanent mitigation", if your IP is x.x.x.x: * ip*: x.x.x.x/32 * ipOnMitigation* x.x.x.x * [Execute]

Please note you may need to remove ca. if you are using the EU locations for OVH.
