Those OpenVZ guys has been really boasting about their ploop system, doing tons of presentations to everyone.

I've seen some of their boring slides they had uploaded about ploop, its boring.

Ploop is annoying in how it allocates inodes as well as chews space.

User upgrades their space? No problem. Downgrades it? Well, the img is still going to eat all of the original space.

'Growing' a drive is also heavy since it runs a resize2fs.

Only the internal side.

From my own testing, it didn't shrink the external size w/o a lot o fjiggering (if at all).
