Solutions for recieving mail

Hey,

So, I would like to ask you what options I have.

I have 1 email account to my domain ([email protected]). This email account is only used for receiving mails, when my SSL certificate needs to re-issued etc - so its pretty much never used.

Currently its linked to my old shared hosting account (which is about to expire and dont want to pay 3,95$/m for 2 mails a year) and I dont want to install mail software on my VPS (seems to be too much of an hassle), what options do I have?

Google?

They do a single email address on their google apps dealy for free I think.

I think hotmail does the same.

Doesn't your domain registrar include a free email account?

Namecheap offers free email redirection with domains.  Other registrars even offer free email account.   That's what I'd consider doing for this.

They do a single email address on their google apps dealy for free I think.


I think hotmail does the same.

If you own a domain, you can register a gApps account for free.  Free gApps accounts can currently have up to 10 users and (seemingly) unlimited aliases/domains/etc.  If you don't mind their disregard for privacy, it's a reliable enough solution.

According to http://support.google.com/a/bin/answer.py?hl=da&answer=2855120 its no longer free. If had account before said date, it still is.

Yep they stopped the free GoogleApp email a few months ago.

Shame really.

I believe Zohomail allows you to host a single domain with 5 user accounts for free.
