Between write wear (possibly a serious issue if you're buying from server operators) and fast technical change, I think you should buy new SSD's.

I've seen plenty of deals here and there at newegg and tigerdirect. Keep an eye out.

Not too mention the prices of SSDs have gone down dramatically over the past year or two.
