    Home Network Setup

    Server 2008 R2 for DHCP and DNS, Procurve 2610-48 100mbit switch for all ports around the house and 8 port switch for places that need gigabit and for file server. Internet is via android hotspot right now to wireless on PC's and laptop, as i'm too cheap to pay for good internet!

    SSD Caching HDD's with OpenVZ kernel?

    I have a server running OpenVZ and 2 large containers both using about 30% ram of the host node each. The server has two 7200RPM drives in software RAID 0 and an SSD drive attached also. Are there any solutions that would allow me to SSD cache the node while using the OpenVZ kernel? I've looked...

    This is a very good idea. With 500 people on a single disk you won't have to worry about any I/O issues as everything will be very fast. If you ever buy a bigger server, just go raid 0, who the hell needs redundancy anyway?
