This is one family that lives a lot of their life quite publicly online.

    SolusVM Vulnerability

Agreed.  Just a shame some good guys had to suffer as a result of this.

    SolusVM Vulnerability

The 1.14 beta suffered from the flaw.  They need to move everything to PDO and not just gradually with each release. I think SolusVM has been getting a lot better as of late; however security must be their priority.

    SolusVM Vulnerability

It's a pretty major flaw in the code.  It may have been exploited before.  I hope SolusVM do a full code review following this incident.  I know they were moving things to PDO starting with 1.14, maybe that now needs to be their priority in addition to an external audit.

    RamNode Down?

You know Robert seemed to have started to grow up lately.  No major hacks on him, he was reasonably polite to people and had eased his jumping into every thread touting service, then he performs such a douche move like this.  So glad he did not have service with us.

Jacob Kiefus / JWJ / Jacob Jervey of 'BroHoster' and 'LethalDrive' arrested for Lewd and lascivious

Guy seemed to claim being diddled twice first with brohoster and also lethaldrive.  He had a half nice control panel being developed at LD.  This if true is just disgusting though.

    Pros/cons of owning own IPs

I guess ongoing it is not so bad; however there is the joining fee and also any other IPs you will need will come from upstreams

    SolusVM Vulnerability

Tested both the beta and the stable and this appears to be now fixed, although can't say there aren't further exploits.

    Pros/cons of owning own IPs

For new LIRs having own IPs with RIRs on last /8 policy is not worth it.  Cost to get involved with RIPE now for a /22 is probably just not worth it for most providers.

Stripe: The payment processor that can't make up it's mind!

Stripe has been great for us.  Around 50% of our payments head through stripe. We've even had a few pro-active emails from strip informing us of potential Fraud and suggesting we refund the client to prevent chargebacks. We've had 0 actual chargebacks through stripe and we push a lot of orders...
