Stripe, get a clue. Your chargeback system sucks

Oh ok. I got confused when I read your post and even did a Ctrl + F to search his post for the word Paypal because I thought I was losing my mind. :)

SecureDragon Changes Up Their Bandwidth Pricing

Originally the 32MB and 64MB were novelty plans that we offered on a limited basis because of some requests here and there. Eventually they became our best selling plans. I've always wanted to reduce the number of plans we offered because with our old pricing our it was only $2 more a month from...

SecureDragon Changes Up Their Bandwidth Pricing

I posted a quick update in the other thread but we have decided to change up our plans as a result of much review of our current and future resources. We've removed the 32MB and 96MB plans and we've increased the bandwidth for all plans with less than 250GB to the new bandwidth allocation of 250GB.

List of reliable sub 20$ per year providers

I just want to post an update to this thread, as of this morning we will no longer be offer 32MB and 96MB VPSs and instead have set our 64MB plans to $9.99/year (quarterly and semi-annual pricing remains the same) and have increased the bandwidth to 250GB from the 100GB we previously offered...

List of reliable sub 20$ per year providers

It's the same risk as the rest of them. It's very easy to maintain 100% uptime on VPSs that costs less than $1/month. If you're hosting mission critical data on a single VPS then you're doing it wrong. I can't speak for other hosts, but I just ran a report of our nodes and our sub-$20/year...

He's talking about Stripe, not Paypal.

    Monitors and RasPis

I use my RPi with my 27" monitor without any issue. I mostly run RPITC (Raspberry Pi Thin Client) and my Windows 7 VMs are hosted in various DCs around the country (locally hosted would be MUCH better but under 20ms is still usable). Here's a video of my RPi connected to a VM in...

What tools are available to monitor for abuse?

The only false positives I get from NodePing are for our cPanel server when somebody decides to start up 200+ PHP processes but I'm sure we could adjust this or stop using HTTP Content monitor but this alert usually lets us know when to suspend an account that's under DOS attack. If you want to...

    WHMCS Two Factor Authentication

We just recently upgraded to 5.2 and as soon as we did I enabled the Time Based Token module. I don't know if any clients are using it yet because we haven't sent out any e-mail or posted anything regarding it yet but we hope to have an announcement e-mail going out in the very near future for...

    Shared Hosting Under $5 Year?

Will do. Here's the old website for those interested: http://sitezombie.com Originally it was hosted on Secure Dragon's cPanel server but I plan on building a new server just for it (still unsure if I'm going to do DDOS protection or not at this time so location is up for debate).

    Shared Hosting Under $5 Year?

I would love to sell $3/year shared hosting plans but for some reason our $12/year plans are selling like crazy (I have no idea why or how but we get a ton of sign-ups a week for this plan that we don't even advertise). I've even considered raising our prices since we keep having to upgrade the...

suggestion to merge all cc threats

@MannDude, if you keep the tagline "Industry Related Gossip" I vote making it a sub-forum for Industry News.

SecureDragon Changes Up Their Bandwidth Pricing

We will be renegotiating our contract in a few months when our current contract is up. In the mean time I've been crunching numbers on new plans and pricing (I've already made some changes to our KVM and DDOS Protected plans).

Your biggest pain as a provider

Just drop the paypalsubscriptioncanceller folder in the /modules/addons directory. I just looked over the code and realized how horrible it is so I'll rewrite it as a hook instead of an addon, the original author was going in a different direction so I'm going to rewrite it and make it more...

Here you go. I'm going to do a rewrite soon since it's pretty old and could use some cleaning up.

suggestion to merge all cc threats

I've always suggested a "Rants and Raves" sub-forum for The Pub, maybe an Industry Scandals/Shame/Dishonor/FrownyFace sub-forum for the Industry News? I would LOVE if this forum wouldn't show up on the "View New Content" but I'll settle for an opt-out option since I am willing to compromise...

suggestion to merge all cc threats

Why not dedicated a sub-forum to them? As much as we all love that vpsBoard has become the defacto CC discussion board, I feel that dedicating a sub-forum to them (that can be ignored/hidden) instead of dedicating the whole forum to them would be a better solution than merging the threads into...

Your biggest pain as a provider

We have a WHMCS plugin that automatically cancels Paypal Subscriptions when service is terminated/cancelled. I believe I posted the code somewhere on here but I can provide you the code so you can port it over to your billing system if you're not using WHMCS. I hate Paypal Subscriptions with a...
