Wholesaleinternet $19 per Month - Server Grab Bags.. more stock!

Yes, I remember now. I had a VPS in that DC once supposed to be 100mbit. I was getting at least 400mbit. Deal sounds better and better... Would actually be my first dedi if I sprang for it. Gimme, gimme, gimme...

So I just opened my blind to see these big things staring at me...

At least it's better than being afraid of spiders. A cow could actually kill you, unlike a spider. You been to Fuddruckers?

Wholesaleinternet $19 per Month - Server Grab Bags.. more stock!

How did you manage to post this, how have you not allowed it by now, and why on earth would AV block a site like this?

Wholesaleinternet $19 per Month - Server Grab Bags.. more stock!

Didn't notice it was unmetered, nice. Wouldn't mind having an upgrade option for metered (say, 5TB) BW at 1Gbit though, because I'm not a data abuser, but a speed demon  :P

Your new VPS is provisioned, what is the first thing you do once you connect?

Either apt-get update/upgrade or put my public key on and disable password logins in SSH. One of the two, those always come first. Then installations of needed packages and putting data on.

    ServerHub 2GB review

ServerHub, a subsidiary of Eonix corporation, has had an ad running on LET/B for quite some time for a server with 2GB of memory, 100GB disk, 2.5TB BW, and 5 IP addresses for $7/mo. I mean come on, can you really resist a deal like that? So I picked one up, I've now had it for two months, and I...

    "Right" to Remain Silent

The Supreme Court is really the most powerful governmental body in the U.S. They are appointed for life, they can overrule any legislation by majority vote, and they can basically ignore any cases they don't want to bother with, picking up only the ones they're interested in. This is not...

    ReverseHosts.com 2GB RAM OVZ - $4.99 (San Diego, CA)

Offtopic (because of course), but couldn't I put fake contact info in SolusVM, so that if someone broke in there it wouldn't matter, they wouldn't have my info? And of course keep my own backups, because the host's should never be trusted. In other words, how important is the contact info stored...

Told my server is out of memory by the Datacenter techs?

I thought you were referring to the other part of my post asking how much memory, since the ID had "1638" in it. As in, 16,384MB of memory, or 16GB, when the free -m output said 32,768MB of memory. I get it now.

Wholesaleinternet $19 per Month - Server Grab Bags.. more stock!

Just reading about their facility and this last line cracked me up, probably more than it should have: ...As opposed to passively carrying it. Does he walk around with one hand on it, practicing his quick draw every five minutes? Sneaking around corners with his gun drawn, James Bond style? :D...

    Weird plane on Google Maps

lol that boneyard reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIQqt0t9_qE Would be an impressive sight. Although it might make some wonder how permanent and reliable the plane they're flying in and seeing all of it from is.

Told my server is out of memory by the Datacenter techs?

Actually not correct ^_^  Presumably the memory was upgraded. It is displayed in the post in the free -m output though, so that is my bad.

    vpsBoard advertisements.

The amazing thing is, this isn't even necessary. I know of at least three or four people (myself definitely included) who would gladly donate to keep the site online, and I'm sure that reflects the general attitude. Heck, I'm pretty sure Aldryic has said he would host the site on BuyVM for free...

    ReverseHosts.com 2GB RAM OVZ - $4.99 (San Diego, CA)

On your order page here, it seems your 512MB plans and below have gigabit ports, while 1GB and above have 100 mbit ports. Why is that? I would think the higher end plans would have the fast ports. And how does that work with the 512MB plan posted here with the 100mbit port?
